Amart All Sports

I’m not really the ‘sporty’ type, but I do try to exercise as much as I can … saying that, I really needed to buy new sneakers as I my old ones were about 6 years old (I know, I know!). I usually go to the usual places for trainers, but my partner suggested I come into Amart, as they are usually cheaper than the others.
I had to wait for a while for service (one staff member saw me, but scuttled away pretty quickly!), but the girl who did serve me was very friendly and helpful. She gave me a few options, and ended up selling me a pair that were perfect, and cheaper than the others!
They also have a lot of clothing for sports, as well as yoga/​pilates equipment, weights, etc.
Oh, and my new sneakers are ALL BLACK — well, goths have to exercise too, right? ;)

Great customer service from the girls at the register and out on the floor each time we go there — friendly, helpful, efficient and kind.
The products are reasonably priced with a good range of products available, and the store layout makes it easy to find the sporting items I need each time.
Something went wrong with one of my purchases and it was resolved promptly by issuing me an exchange.

This store had good sale items a lot of the time. Especially on shoes.
Most of the staff are pretty helpful and some are really helpful. The guy that assisted me found me cheaper and more comfortable netball shoes than the ones I was looking to buy!
The range of items is good, Adidas, running bare, nike, puma amongst most of the other major brands.
The store stocks fitness clothes, shoes, home equipment and more, so if you don’t want to have to go to lots of shops I would recommend A-​mart!

Just a warning for all future sporting patrons: when you enter this store via the tiny escalators on Rundle Street, you cannot later leave from that same way! It’s a trap. I swear. Annoying because this means having to leave via the city cross entrance, which is actually a little bit of an irritating de-​tour.

The store itself is pretty good as far as sports stores go, and although I’m probably a little more loyal to Rebel Sport, I would say Amart All Sports just about comes in equal first place. This store is large in size with a bunch of items, and a pretty firm line of sales assistants/​assistance. Amart has a great apparel range, as well as a good selection of sports shoes. Then there is also your stock standard sporting and gym equipment.

Price wise it contains reasonable selections, and you can come out of here equipped with some good deals. Actually on the price front I think Amart is generally cheaper than other stores– good sales. You can get decent treadmills here for under a grand, and brand name clothing for reasonable prices. They also have the whole 10% off the lowest price guarantee offer going on. To me, the 10% offer pretty much just confirms that it’s a cheaper option. I trust them.

Additionally the layout and size of the premise makes it an easy store to browse though, thus find a bunch of good sporting finds in a fun environment. I love sports clothes but I love shopping for them at Amart All Sports even more so. Just like a kid in a candy store… Gym junkie heaven.

When I was little boy, I had this dream…
Being drafted into the NBA, holding an official Spalding NBA basketball, wearing an NBA jersey, heavy barbells to use at home, soccer ball, tennis rackets, and a volleyball.
…2 out of 7 which I could obtain at AMART ALL SPORTS. Oh well. Guess not all dreams come true. I just wished there were more American sports clothing on the racks. I remember when I went to America, their sports stores were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, because they had so many different NBA players and NBA team jerseys that I was lifted up to heaven. In AMART, I don’t think my eyes found any, maybe it’s hidden on the far wall.
The creepiest part was my horoscope that day said that I would be somewhere that involved sports.
At arguably the best sports store in Adelaide, you’ll find a lot of everything any active sports athlete needs in his/​her life. From workout clothing and big balls, this is the perfect place to stop in for a gift, whether it be for you or someone else! Last time I was here I bought 1.5kg barbells for my elderly Father last Xmas, which he appreciated.
