Burger Theory was closed because it was Easter Monday, but I’m glad that happened because I got to try this place out. The burgers are practically the same as most burger places, most at about $ 13.50, but Grill’ds menu is very extensive, catering to salads, vegetarians and gluten free. I got a lamb burger with avocado, and I was so Grill’d to have some avocado, but they told me that they had run out of avocado! That was not good but it was Easter Monday and you gotta give those avo farmers a break you know they work hard you know. They did reduce the price of my burger by a $ 1 which was decent compensation but really can you put a price on a good avocado? I dont think so. Anyway, I had my burger, it was molto bene, and as I was walking out I got to vote which donation out of three Grill’d donated to, which was a nice, empowering touch. I felt kind of bad that I couldn’t pick one though, so maybe having to make a tough moral decision right after you’ve eatan an(avocado-void) lamb burger isn’t the best way to leave a restaurant but you know what, GOODONTHEM. 4⁄5 stars

Ordered two ‘Field of Dreams’ veggie burgers and I can say with 100% honesty that it was the tastiest burger I have ever eaten anywhere in my life. Kudos to the guys at Grill’d for a great meal! The atmosphere was lovely, music fantastic(Eminem), and the food came out in less than 5minutes after ordering, which given the fact that they were basically full was fabulous! I really like their campaign to donate money each month to local charities, with a specially made beer bottle top where you get to place it in the box of the charity of your choice! Only thing that needs improving is the seating, it was a tad uncomfortable #RIPBooty! All in all will definitely be making this a regular dinner spot and definitely would recommend!

My first time in Adelaide and I will tell you this… lots of restaurants seem to close early(some as early as 3pm). Of course, my hotel restaurant was open but I wanted to try other eateries in the immediate vicinity. Set out with a group and the initial intent was to locate a certain Thai restaurant. Did not find it, and as we were short on time we saw a bunch of customers in the outdoor seating area of Grill’d so we figured we’d give it a try. Everyone chose the bacon cheeseburger and I ordered the one with the bacon and fried egg(Mighty Crow Eater) and some regular ‘chips’(fries for all you American diners). They do not offer table side ordering so grab a menu and line up near the register. They also did not ask our preferred meat temperature so if that’s important to you make sure you prompt them. The food arrived fairly quickly(under 10 minutes) and it appeared that they were all cooked medium-well. Aside from the fried egg, beef, and bacon, my burger contained a slice of beetroot. I’ve discovered this is a very popular burger condiment in Australia. Not fond of beets, I removed it before eating. The burger was tasty and the chips/fries had a flavorful seasoning. I chose the herbed mayo for dipping the chips. Tasty. I definitely would try this place out again next time I’m in Australia. Oh… and from my experience, when you order bacon in Australia, it is basically as thick as a slice of ham.

So, these guys are best known for their burgers. My brother in law would recommend the«Might Crow-Eater» any day with Beef, bacon, egg, beetroot, relish, salad and herbed Mayo. Personally, I enjoy the traditional burger«Mustard & Pickled!» Today though, seeing as I am on a bit of a health kick, I ra with the Chicken, Pomegranate & Goats Cheese Salad! This salad is a treat for the eyes as well as the taste buds with the pomegranate seeds reminding me of twinkling lights on a Christmas tree. I also couldn’t go past their sweet potato chips with hot chilli Mayo. «yum» is such a short, simple, unsophisticated word but it sums up the enjoyability of the food entirely. The dining environment is verging on modern/industrial and they have this cool eating area that makes it feel like you’re outside, without actually being outside which is nice on a brisk today like this one. The cost of the dining experience could add up pretty quickly with the cheapest burger costing $ 9.90, a single serve of fries at $ 3.80 — but it’s a nice treat :)

Grill’d was ok, but I have to admit that I was expecting something so much more. I mean the concept is cool with all things meat done in a healthy vibe; get your organic on, young foodie. I ordered a steak sandwich, something that looked forward to as a change from all the kangaroo people had been cramming down my throat on my tourist trek. When my sandwich came out it fine, but the meat was thin, and it was a little bland and a bit dry. Of course, of course this American has tasted some pretty extraordinaire steak Sammies in his time, so the beef bar is pretty high here. In short, it just didn’t hit the mark; you know that there is a problem when the sweet potato fries stand out as the star of the meal.

Grill’d is a great stop for lunch, and a nice distraction from the near-identical string of cafes on Rundle Street. Of the various ‘fancy burger’ places that have popped up recently — and no offense meant to Fancy Burger — I prefer Grill’d to most, they have a consistently good product and aren’t overly massive, must-fast-for-three-days burgers like so many of their competitors. The Rundle St Grill’d has welcoming staff, nice décor and the standard Grill’d burger selection, which is great as everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The atmosphere here is a little loud, and between the other patrons and the loud music playing it became a little difficult to relax over lunch, so I’d recommend a seat near the entrance — they have a great open café vibe going on when they pull the sliding doors all the way open.

On par with the Grill’ds of Melbourne. Tasty burgers, god chips and a nice selection of beers. Only downside is the terrible acoustics leaving you wondering if you’re in your local pub or a burger restaurant.

Great surroundings, awesome venue to eat, meat was a little flavorless but the chips were fantastic, and as far as luxury burger stands go price was quite reasonable. Will return again when fb’s is too busy

Recently visited here for dinner. Burger was tasty, chips were greasy but tasty and drink was cold. Service efficient and friendly, if not a bit over-anxious to please. Not at all keen on the creaky and shaky floorboards! Atmosphere can get noisy so it’s good to arrive and leave early. I would definitely visit again.
