Thursday nights are $ 10 off your steak nights! I ordered a filet mignon, cooked medium, with mushroom sauce, ceasar salad, and mashed potatoes. I didn’t have to wait too long to receive my order and it was done perfectly. The salad and mashers were great, too! The mushroom sauce was nice, brown and thick and went perfectly with my steak! The wine list is nice and comprehensive and has a lovely selection of Australian wines! I can’t wait to come back and eat some more steak! Service is good, too!

While not a quiet place to sit and relax noise wise, I found the atmosphere comfortable and calming(especially after a few drinks). You will be greeted at the front and led to your table or booth, your choice of either, given a menu and shown where the drinks are. You will then select your food and order it at a counter and if you wish stop off at the bar for your drinks. You have multiple choices of grill type food, pasta, salads, kids food and deserts. There is a kids entertainment area joined to the area you eat with video game and playground, all safe and well lit. Food service time depends on your order but I did not see anybody complaining while I was there. The food is seemingly professionally prepared and I have no complaints at all regards to pricing or quality. Staff are friendly and helpful, just beware they are very busy.

1 star is generous. Came for lunch with a group of 5. Meals came out so far apart that 1 person finished their meal completely before 2 others were served. Steak was ordered medium, came out like jerky. Risotto was very oily. Salad was over-dressed. Spilled coffee when bringing it to the table. Wait staff ignored requests for service when prompted. One of us even came away with food poisoning after getting the salt and pepper calamari. Not good.

This place is great for families with young kids. There is a playground onsite so while the parents order diner and unwind with a cold beer the kids can run off all their excess energy on the playground. No more ‘we’re hungry’, ‘I’m bored’ or ‘when’s dinner coming!’ You can watch the little cherubs in silence through the glass or on the big screen television which is linked by video to the play area. The food is so-so and it is an order at the counter kind of arrangement. The waiting times for meals are quite short and on Tuesdays kids eat free! Last time we had dinner at the Tavern I ordered the seafood platter which was a little disappointing. The fresh oysters were full of crushed shell(yuk) and the prawns had no flavour, generally though the food is good.
