I have had the coffee multiple times here(flat whites!) and they are consistently good. The other day I ordered a chocolate croissant– they were out– so I opted for an almond croissant instead(based on the suggestion/recommendation from the counter girl). The almond croissant had very good flavor– not too sweet, and a perfect amount of almond slices and dusting of powdered sugar. But for me, it was too dense and cake-y to be an actual croissant. Aren’t croissants supposed to be light, airy, flaky? I’m up to trying more of their baked goods– I’ll see how they stack up. Service is fast and good.

It’s about quality. Morning/afternoon tea or light lunch(emphasis on ‘light’). Bring your mum, she’ll love it!

As a local Albany Creek kid, I’ve seen the block of shops where French and Mor sits rise to popularity and chop and change over the years. The café itself used to be Le Bön Choix until a couple of years ago when it changed to French and Mor. There are many things to love about the place, the décor is simple and very sweet, the staff are lovely and coffee is above average, although it isn’t mind blowing good. Having said that, it is to a consistent standard, every time you go there you get a good one. While the treats they have to offer are a little exxy, there is a reason for it, they’re a massive taste-bud pleaser. If you’re into citrus, go for the lemon tart, it’s my Nan’s personal favourite — and she’s a picky lass. Although it is probably not called a lemon tart, all the products are basically labeled as their French name. If you go decide to take the venture don’t expect a restaurant style menu, there are basic breakfast items available, a fair bit of savoury(sandwiches and the like), fresh bread(I’m yet to try), and some yummy treats. Oh and also, one other thing they have going for them is their high tea, it’s basically a set menu that you can book with a few friends. I’ve seen a couple in process and it looks lovely.

There’s a good reason this place is always busy with their huge range of French delights including breads & flowers for sale. Cakes are approx $ 7 a serve but well worth it and you will be hard pressed to find similar quality in north Brisbane. A true hidden gem. Every time I’ve been regardless of number of customers, the staff are friendly and quick to get your order out to you. They regularly change their sweet offerings so you could never be bored with the fare.

Bought a six pack of the Bön Choix individual cakes for a morning tea with friends, what a hit, everyone was tres impressed. The standout for me was the mango mousse absolute heaven.

French vanilla slice, chocolate éclairs and macaroons in every colour of the rainbow… If you have a sweet tooth like me then French and Mor will send you weak at the knees. This cute little café in Albany Creek has on offer the most delicious baked treats you will find on the North side of Brisbane. The café is small but I think this adds to its character, it is really quite charming — just like stepping into a café in Paris. You can get everything here from freshly baked breads to homemade chicken and leek pies with rich buttery pastry. The glass cabinets are filled with the most beautifully decorated petite cakes and slices. The flourless chocolate teacake is heavenly — such a light texture but so decadent in flavour. French and Mor is the perfect place to bring your Mum on a Sunday morning for coffee, cake and a catch-up.
