History
Established in 2012.
Opened in April 2012 the site hosts a coffee research and testing facility, artisan bakery and luscious open garden of heirloom vegetables, fragrant herbs, fresh fruit and flowers.

Jack Hanna, Co-Director
Jack Hanna was the youngest barista to have ever won a world title. Jack went on to win the World Latte-Art Championships 2007 and is the 2010 winner of Golden Bean Espresso. Beginning in hospitality at the age of 17 Jack quickly developed a love of coffee and cut his teeth under the watchful eye of Sammy Piccolo, who himself had placed four times in five years at the World Barista Championships. Returning from Canada to Australia, Jack went on to develop his own coffee roasting empire Jack and The Bean before embarking on his grandest vision yet at The Grounds. Jack oversees the roasting operation with a perfectionist’s touch bringing an uncompromising and unparalleled drive for quality that extends not only to the experiential coffee experience delivered at The Grounds but to caffeine lovers throughout the country who are the beneficiaries of a rapidly growing wholesale business.
