Ahhhh… who doesn’t love Bunnings. This one in Altona North is a large format warehouse, which looks pretty similar to the other Bunningst stores. You get everything from a garden and outdoor centre to a timber yard. You’ll also find electrical parts, flooring and carpeting to lighting, paint shop and of course a tool shop too. Prob missed a few departments there but you get my drift, it is a pretty comprehensive warehouse. You could essentially build a Bunnings House. Staff are always on hand to help you with anything, and you have to love a business that employs people who know and love what they do. So far, I’ve only ever encountered knowledgeable staff and they always appear happy to want to help you. And trust me, you’ll need some help as wondering the aisles looking for something in particular can take a while. My tip is to come by on a weekday as its less crowded obviously and the staff are less harassed and can therefore offer better assistance. But how could you resist the weekend sausage sizzle? Such simple delights… Pricing wise, expect some really great pricing as per a warehouse scenario but the great thing is the variety of options and brands just for the same item. Makes it a fun half day to spend when there’s no game on. And I cannot leave without buying something anything. I wish I owned this store. Only gripe is that there always seems to be ONE checkout counter open, although the service desk becomes one when the staff notice a queue of several customers.
