Would come here again for friendly, attentive service and the tasty, tasty food! Tucked away, but street parking available.

Having tried most café’s in Annadale, my girlfriend & I decided to try out«Revolver». She & I came during brunch on a Sunday and the wait was about 15 — 20 minutes I wasn’t really counting. Lucky you can order coffee while you’re waiting but this is one of the reasons I’m knocking a star off. The coffee was just very basic I’d say maybe it was just that one cup, but we ordered 3 coffee’s throughout our time there and all were pretty mediocre to me. But where things kicked up a notch was the food. My girlfriend ordered the bacon & egg roll and she thought it was a top tier B&E roll and I had the avocado breakfast. I’m not one for really ordering vegetarian dishes anywhere but gosh darn was it tasty and fresh. Unbruised avocado, perfect scrambled eggs and very very soft Danske feta cheese. Let’s just say I left with my plate clean & empty. Another reason it’s getting four stars is the service while very friendly and maybe even over staffed was a lot of workers around, not once did they refill our water or take our coffee cups off the table. So we just grabbed a water jug and refilled it ourselves, if it was insanely busy I’d let it slide but it was getting quiet by the time she and I came in. Bottom line come here for the food, pass on the coffee and leave feeling pretty darn good.

A cut above the usual neighborhood local. This really is the little café that could! Great food, friendly welcoming staff, and a fun casual vibe. Have been here a number of times and it has been consistently good. They do the most amazing salads, burgers, cakes you name it. It really is a total crowd pleaser.

Hustling & bustling with a steady flow of patrons though no need to wait for a table. We were seated by a cozy window seat, looking out into the lofty suburban neighbourhood. Food was beautifully presented and delicious, staff not too attentive due to how busy they were, drinks were yum. Plenty of free parking within the vicinity. Will definitely come back.

I tried there after reading great reviews here but I thought food was average, not bad not great. Avocado wasn’t mashed it was bruised but Scrambled eggs were good. Maybe I should’ve chosen something else?!?

This café is the whole package– great service, food and atmosphere. I came at about 9.00 of a chilly Thursday morning. No wait for a table though a steady stream of people in and out. I rather guiltily nabbed a 3 seater table(I was a lone diner) right by the roaring fire, and got nothing but best service all the time. When I asked for tomato sauce, I was offered a house made bbq tomatoey one which hit the spot. And the Avo breakfast was great– scrambled eggs cooked just right. Let’s start with the tea. They really get tea drinkers. A good tea list. Served in antique China ware. Teapots that are see through so you can see the strength and that don’t spill. A timer so you can time the tea to brew from Whe they filled it, so it is the correct strength. Love it. They really respect the tea drinkers among us. Kid friendly, pet Friendly, they have outdoor seats with heaters and blankets too. Cool ambient music, pleasant sound of chatter, No reading material of any note, so bring your own, but that was the only quibble in an otherwise great experience. Recommended.

Food is great, and they cope with the myriad of food intolerances that are around these days. Although generally a long queue on the weekend and sometimes the system doesn’t to work so well when it’s busy, and it is often very busy.

Pretty damn amazing. The coffee, whilst a little slow to come was some of the finest I’ve had in a long time. The food was also delicious. Our table opted for the Salmon cake special, and I had the French toast. All very yummy. You have to arrive early as it is very popular and not uncommon for the to be queues to get in.

My food here was nice — I had a corn fritter type thing(?) — but I certainly wouldn’t put it up there with Sydney’s best breakfast spots! Not sure what all the fuss is about.

This place is hard to fault. We made the trek over because I was surprised there could be such a well-rated café in such an out of the way place. Once you visit it’s obvious why. The food is you standard café fare, done perfectly. The coffee came quickly, and were just as good as the food. Service in general was great, and I could gear people at nearby tables loving their food too. The building is a cool old conversion, typical for the area. There’s not a huge amount if seating, but it’s not tiny either — be prepared to wait a bit if you come ob the weekend or have a big group.

Annandale, in Sydney’s inner-west, had me at hello with her rows of terrace houses and she woo’d me more with the lure of lunch at Revolver. Housed in what was meant to be a hotel back in the day, this café is bustling and I’m told by my local living friend, often lines out the door on weekends. When we arrived there was no wait and we were seated straight away. The staff were friendly and polite. It’s a smaller space but they make the most of it with a home-y interior. It’s warm, inviting and too easy to spend a lazy afternoon here. There’s an all-day breakfast menu with all the usual suspects and some stand outs like the lamb bruschetta. I was lucky enough to sample this from one of our lunch party and would definitely order should I return. On this occasion, I ordered the lamb kofta special with natural yogurt, quinoa and coriander. It was a suitably filling and soul hugging meal of comfort and everything was balanced to perfection. The coffee was strong and easily drinkable. There’s a range of gluten free cakes should you not be feeling like lunch and most of the menu items can be made gluten free. The kitchen here may be small but from our experience it’s certainly not limiting what they’re serving!

Best place in the area for breakfast. The signature big breakfasts that are served in a small frying pan could probably feed two but it’s always too tempting to just order one each. The specials are consistently good and I love that they point out which items are gluten or dairy free. Prices are pretty standard for Sydney brekkie, sometimes it’s best to go for brunch just to make the most of it because one meal will often keep you going all the way till dinner.

Gluten FREE Corn Fritters!!! That’s right Coeliac’s you can eat Corn Fritters here! Just a word for those coffee lovers; this is not a place you come for coffee! It is place you come too sit, watch and feel like you have have been transported to another time. The place is a converted from an old antique store and they have tried to keep true to the original design set in modern 1800 church style kitch with old dark wooden features, miss matched fine china to eat off, old church pews to sit on along with miss matched iron and wooden chairs(that seriously looks like a cross between medieval times meets modern) with a beautifully well preserved iron fire place and vintage tiling in the corner and my favourite a busy kitchen. It is a café so to be exciting we decided to have a 2 course meal! Because there isn’t many places you can eat GF corn fritters, banana bread… basically all that floury goodness you usually get denied. We started with a shared dish the Trout Rosti House smoked ocean trout on a corn rosti with sweet red capsicum relish, baby spinach and avocado… yummmy do it, order it you will love it! Second course consisted of Burger ‘Feather and Bone’ pasture fed aged wagyu brisket with smoky eggplant, brussel sprouts, caramelised onion, rocket, pickled beetroot and aged cheddar on a Gluten Free bun with a side of chat potatoes… HUGE buns they have and tasty too;p Contrary to others that have reviewed this place, the staff were lovely… But you know I don’t rely on others to be nice to me… I prefer to be overly nice and genuinely interested in how people are and they respond well to that behaviour… so when your not getting great service then you do need to look at your attitude too! Gluten FREE café Fan!

As a local, I feel like I should love this place as much as my neighbours do, but I just don’t. I’ve tried so many times but I just can’t seem to connect with what everyone raves about. The food is nice, but I’ve certainly enjoyed better at other local joints. 2 out of the 3 times I’ve visited, I’ve actually been sick before even making it home! Both those times were breakfast. On my third visit, I had a tortilla for lunch and it was yummy. For me, it’s the staff. I find them rather rude and I loathe it when they clear the table before you have even finished eating as they clearly want your table back. Certainly not one of my fav local joints at all.

Holy moly. PANCAKES. We went early on a Friday morning and it was still packed. Cute interior where we felt instantly at home. Ordered flat whites(which were good, not the best I’ve had, but the perfect colour and complete with nice frilly coffee ferns) and asked the waiter for recommendations. He enthusiastically suggested the ginger pancakes and the big breakfast as the best dishes. We ordered accordingly. My dish, the pancakes: oooh lala! Crispy edges(telltale sign of a buttery griddle, mmm), fabulously fluffy, adorned with a generous dollop of creamy ricotta, currants, a sprinkle of cinnamon and three large pieces of poached pear. My only slight criticism was that the pancakes were perhaps the slightest bit soggy from the fruit. But yum! Gingerbread-y goodness. Another plus: even in spite of polishing off the whole plate, I didn’t leave feeling bloated and gross, like the food coma normally induced by American pancakes. BF’s dish: nice presentation in the small cast-iron skillet, eggs were perfectly cooked, toasted bread served on the side with a dish of bright green oil redolent of avocado and mint. Wow. Unique and delicious. Hooray for cafes with different menus!

From the moment you pull into the street, the vibe being given off by this place is evident. Groups of peoople sprawled along the pavenement waiting for a table or their take away coffee Passion for coffee is right up their with the best, although they dont roast their own, serving Morgan’s is as good as it gets, Dbl ristretti, tick, latte, tick. The big breakfast was filling, flavoursome and nicely presented Finally, the service was impressive. It looks like they serve a fair number of regulars who keep coming back because they know how good it gets. Enough staff on the floor to make sure you’re looked after even on the biggest of weekend mornings

Queuing for brunch at trendy Sydney cafes on Saturday mornings has become a hobby of mine. Don’t get me wrong, I hate the wait, but I am easily placated by a cup of good coffee and the promise of amazing food. Revolver delivers both. By the time I’d finished my latte, our table was ready. From crusty sourdough with homemade marmalade to the big veggie breakfast(served in a small frying pan), there is something for everyone on the menu. There is also a tantalising selection of cakes by the cash-register, in case you want to grab something sweet for the road(or as I like to call it, second breakfast).
