We do home brew and we have been to a number of homebrew shops in the Brisbane area, but this place is our go to when we are willing to make the trip across the river. Annerley Brew Supply was recommended by a fellow home brewer because the prices are much more economical than Brewers Choice retail shops which seem to dominate the market share for the northern suburbs and the selection is much better here. The staff at Annerley Brew Supply are very helpful and knowledgable and they offer supplies for every level of brewer, as well as cider, ginger beer, spirits, wine, etc. Sometimes they don’t have exactly what we need(according to my fiancé who is the master brewer in our house) but I would rather shop at a local store than a chain.

Look, I think home brew is pretty hit and miss. I’ve got friends who have made me drink their frankly dangerous home brew(um what was the alcohol content of this swill again??) but I’ve never been bitten by the bug myself. I would, however, consider it for ginger beer. Man I love home brewed ginger beer. Yes, it too has indeterminate alcohol levels but ginger beer is harder to make taste like dirt. My point is, the hopeless tragics in my life who are SURE they’re about to produce the next Little Creatures come here to shop. Prices are good, service is stellar. As mentioned, parking is crap.
