Audra James Botanicals

I gifted an Audra James aromatherapy facial and massage to a friend who was pregnant at the time. Shortly after my friend was ordering pretty much the entire Audra James pregnancy range and raving non-​stop about her products so I decided to try them for myself.
I really loved the feel of Audra James products on my skin and also that they were chemical free. And not long after I booked myself in for a treatment. Audra is so lovely and not only does she know her craft and give amazing treatments she’s lovely to chat to.
What I love is that she remembers things about me and my skin and when I have consultations with her (in person and over email) and I can tell that I’m getting a truly bespoke product and service.
I’ve been using Audra’s products for about a year and a half now and haven’t looked back. She’s my go-​to-​girl for all things skin related. She’s formulated so many things for me, from a travel roll-​on for long flights, bespoke skin elixirs and blends for a room diffuser.
My favourite AJB products would have to be the yuzu renewal handwash, the citrus bodywash with rosemary and mint, her balms and cleansing balm and body glow. Oh and her essential oil lifestyle blends.
I also recently had an Audra James blending bar at my birthday party where my guests could have a mini-​consultation and get a small blend to take home (either a body oil, body wash or balm). There was always a line to see her and it was a great party favour with a difference.
I have a bespoke perfume, which she has formulated for me, on the way. I’ll be getting it this week and can’t wait!

Like many things, Audra came to my attention via Twitter. With my skin behaving like a temperamental two-​year old, I snapped up an appointment with Audra pronto. She focuses on essential oils and her bespoke facial service is, as the name suggest, custom to your skin type.
When I arrived we had a quick chat about the concerns with my skin and before long my 60 minute facial was underway. Somewhere between the double cleanse (the second using a cleansing oil that smelt like Jaffas), Audra began the facial massage to stimulate the skin, help clear any lymphatic congestion and relax. Usually during beauty treatments I end up spending the time building a to-​do list in my mind. I tried, I really did but every thought that entered my mind dissolved. Heck, I even tried drafting this review but, blip, gone. After the facial massage, you’re treated to a delicious treatment mask before moisturiser. The 60 mins is over in a flash.
I cannot remember the last time my skin has been so content and best of all as well as being totally blissed out I learnt so much from Audra about natural and organic skin care, methods for cleansing our faces and more. Audra’s follow up email, letting me know which products were used and which would be best for an at-​home-​skin care range, was so sweet and thoughtful — I’ll be back!
