We visited Fish on line the other night to grab some takeaway. Prices were higher than we expected but the full house in the eating area convinced us to try the food. We ordered crumbed fish, calamari and chips. The minimum order for chips is $ 6, the size of the meal however was enough for us to divide for dinner and then lunch the following day. The food is cooked in cholesterol free oil and the taste is great, no fatty aftertaste! We indulged in some small caramel tarts for dessert, they taste like home cooked pastry and the caramel was amazing! Well worth a visit to this little gem. A+

Hands down our favourite fish and chip place in Brisbane. Meals always come with a perfectly cooked piece of fish, generous amount of chips and a standout Greek salad that almost becomes the star of the plate. Definitely worth the asking price. Never tried the takeaway option. Always ate at one of their provided tables. The only down side is that reservations can’t be made for the rather limited amount of seating, which means inviting a group of friends to meet there for a meal can be risky. We always seem to manage though, you may just have to wait for some tables to become available. Best advice I can give is to try to turn up before 6pm

Fish On Line is hidden away on a corner just off Gympie Road. Its always packed every time I take that final turn home on the way back from the Sunshine Coast. On the way back one day I convinced my wife we should go in and give it a try before we hit home. When we arrived to the car park the seats were all taken and there was a line up to the counter. We peeped the prices and they were a little more expensive than we expected but I thought the solid patronage was a good indicator to how the meal would be. We ordered our fish and chip meal with a burger to trial. It cost us close to thirty dollars for what we bought. The surprising thing was that the burger was a third of the over all price. It took about twenty minutes for our order to come out, which wasn’t too bad considering the line up and when we got home and opened our feast we were pretty happy with the amount of goods we received. There was nothing too special about the fish and chips, pretty stock standard. Still everything was fresh. The burger was the standout, even after the ten minute drive back it kept its consistency and wasn’t all wet as I expected. Fish On Line is worth a chow visit in my books.
