History
Established in 1998.
Since the start of the practice as Pittwater Style in 1996, Jansen Design & Architecture has been engaged as local architects including the renovation and remediation of a block of flats in central Avalon; renovations and additions to many homes and the building of new houses throughout the Northern Beaches from Queenscliff to Palm Beach.
Our principal architect Emile Jansen grew up in Manly and Balgowlah, and now lives and works in Avalon. His knowledge and experience of unusual micro-climates in the area, enables him to design houses appropriate to this unique environment.
Emile also draws on his experiences working in some of the largest commercial architectural practices in Sydney, Brisbane and China, where his body of work includes private homes; high rise apartments; town houses; aged care facilities; office blocks; industrial buildings; retail premises; hospitality and hotels; an airport, two grandstands, an Olympic pool, a church and community libraries.
