Mabasa

Amazing.
Was not expecting anything great. But was completely blown out of the water by well priced enjoyable Korean food. The service was great and the food was delicious. I am sure I’ll be returning here many times.

Was looking for a Korean restaurant in the area. Came across Mabasa with great reviews. Did not disappoint at all. In fact we were really impressed with the whole experience. Nice ambience, great food, good value and fantastic service. Will definitely return.

It just feels so cosy and comfortable as you head upstairs from the street front on Darling Street to head into this establishment. You would be forgiven for thinking that you are a guest at someone’s home; or perhaps you have nestled yourself into your own little sanctuary. It is quiet, peaceful and serene. Formerly a thai restaurant; another hint of asian fusion has come into town and it is just superb.
Just go for anything with meat; chicken of beef; and the spice factor is also something. Be prepared to drink plenty of water; however most importantly: be prepared for a different and great night out. Yes a great establishment, and deserves its locale in Balmain; although on the other hand I am missing the previous thai restaurant here very much. The prices aren’t too bad; the whole experience was a blur; probably because I was eating out here with a bit of a hangover the night I came; with a small group of people.
Otherwise the food was terrific for what it’s worth in tandem with pretty good service. Nothing to complain about; the staff were quite efficient. Overall a great experience; although I don’t know how; however I am not inclined to come back to this establishment in a hurry. Still worth coming to.
