Great quality chicken. Great to take away, and having tried their chicken over and over it is never burnt; yet always a most tender and juicy roast chicken gets delivered every single time. Great for those family occasions, and for those picnics at any one of the parks nearby. Fairly good service, it isn’t always consistent though; so it might go without saying that the service is merely dependent on the mood the staff might be in at any given moment. Great roasts; perfect for those roast dinners. Fairly clean, hygienic and well presented establishment that has stood the test of time in Balmain. Not all of the locals are a fan of this establishment, yet those people living in Balmain want to take out high quality food with finesse; and this establishment has it minus the style. Simple but conventional and quality fast food. Not the type of establishment you would want to sit down, eat in and enjoy a coffee from. Save that for another locale. Overall not bad, and is worthy of support in the area. Although the service may not always be consistent, their chickens most certainly come home to roost in the most consistent manner.

Charcoal chicken. I know, I know, another charcoal chicken place. What’s the difference? I’ll tell you. Nothing. Except some are good and some are bad. This is a good one. Heaps of awesome salads, chicken served in multiple forms, and some really good mash. And the guy at the counter was pretty cool too. I know charcoal chicken isn’t one of those things you go out of your way for, but if you’re in the area and craving it(as we all do from time to time), and you’re not too worried about price, this is the one I’d go to. And talking about price, is it just me, or is it going up everywhere? At Spitroast you can have a meal deal for $ 9-$ 13. Could be worse. So could the food, but it’s not.
