We are fully licensed and offer your choice of fully staffed events or drop-​off catering to suit your needs and budget.

History

Established in 2008.

The Essential Caterer was born of an opportunity to provide quality driven, flexible and affordable catering in a market dominated by big players.

The Essential Caterer philosophy is underpinned by a management approach that is responsive, fresh, innovative and dynamic.

We invest in our resources, from our purpose– built state of the art kitchen, to our staff.

We aim to be an employer of choice, providing staff with flexible family friendly working conditions, consistent and fair payroll policies and procedures. This has resulted in high retention of staff supporting a culture of service professionalism and quality has been allowed to grow, which our clients not only recognise, but connect with.

Our culture is underpinned by our vision to «Be involved in the theatre of life, connecting people with sustainable food and beverages responsibly, whilst embracing the true meaning of hospitality and service.

Business Owner

With over 25 years experience in the hospitality sector, there isn’t much I haven’t seen. From starting out in the small family owned retail food business, to managing private golf clubs, 4 and 5 star hotels, restaurants and premier tourist attractions.

It was whilst redeveloping the SkyHigh site in Mt Dandenong that I met John Connellan. Together we saw a fantastic opportunity to grow a respected business in the catering industry and The Essential Caterer was born!
