Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is hidden at the back of the tavern which also has a pub and a TAB. So don’t be confused. It’s a very small restaurant but on a Sunday afternoon at 2pm it wasn’t very busy. However after speaking with our waitress she said it can get very busy at other times. We only came for a few drinks and some nibbles, but it was suggested by our waitress to try the special, Vindaloo Lamb Shanks. She claimed they were excellent and if we weren’t very hungry there was enough to share between the two of us. We took her advise but also ordered the Bruschetta along with a bottle of Shiraz. They had a special going for the Fox Head 2009 Shiraz for only 15 dollars. I’ve never had a really great tasting wine before for only 15 dollars at a restaurant. It was very smooth and we really enjoyed it. Most of the wines on the menu were reasonable in price. Our meals came very quick and tasted very delicious. We loved the Lamb Shanks and the Bruschetta. Defiantly would order them again. For dessert we has the Passionfruit Cheese Cake which was really yum! Over all we were very impressed with the service and our food. Our waitress was very friendly and really nice to talk to. We defiantly look forward to coming here again.
