One of my absolute favourite places to eat! Every single time I order the frango chicken burger which is a massive meal. It comes with a burger including large, fresh and not processed chicken strips, lettuce and your choice of a generous amount of chilli or Mayo sauce which they put on infront of you to your taste. Absolutely love the amount and taste of the mayo but I find the chilli too spicy so I never get it. The meal is only $ 12 and comes with a drink and a large helping of chips. I usually cannot finish the whole thing. The chips are some of the tastiest thin fries I’ve had and it’s not just a handful, almost the whole container full. I’ve also tried the chicken which is charcoaled to perfection, also at a very reasonable price. The salads are very nice and there is a good range depending on your taste. Would definitely recommend, this store is what made me fall in love with chicken burgers. Check whether the store is open before you go because I have been devastated before, showing up on a Sunday only to find it closed. It can also become very busy at lunch and dinner and it can be hard to find a table or a park. But definitely worth these factors and definitely try this burger deal !!!

Ok so I’m a chicken burger addict, it’s always my first choice at any burger joint. I LOVE Frangos! Their whole chook is butterflied and marinated in a secret sauce and roasted over hot coals. My double fillet chicken burger was divine and I couldn’t help a generous squeeze of their secret sauce, it’s absolutely mouth watering and very addictive. The pricing is quite reasonable and more filling and satisfying than Nandos any day.

Lamb skewers are delicious and tender a must have if you eat in! Chips and chicken are classics for both eat in and take away!!! Make sure you get the chilli Mayo it’s the best! And if you are extra peckish treat yourself to the pork either classics or honey soy both are grand

Went here for all you can eat on a Monday, the place is packed and you need to make sure you make a reservation otherwise you have to get take away! The all you can eat selection is great from garlic potatoes to beautiful juicy marinated chicken with some green stuff people call salad. The service was great, we asked for the garlic potatoes to be a tad cruncher so the main man sorted that out for us and kept us updated with the status of them. Also the chicken ran out… So the wait was 15 – 20 minutes for the chicken but again we were kept up to date and the second they were done they were nice n hot sitting on our table. Great service if you eat in and it’s kinds cool watching the busy atmosphere of frangos. I would defs go back for an all you can eat session and even some takeaway but once you go all you can eat there is not turning back!

The food is great, the Portuguese chicken is moist and great matched with peri peri sauce. The salads are good especially the potatoe salad. The service however is probably the worst part about the place. After reading that it closes at 9.30 and coming in at 9 and waiting for sometime for someone to serve us, a male worker walks past us says that they are closed when we questioned about the closing time we were ignored. The takeaway can also be worst than McDonalds continually leaving food out from the order. They seem to be very arrogant and rude and just want to rush you out the restaurant Great food, terrible service

I would have given this place a perfect 5, but there is an improvement to made. I come to frangos very often, I love the food. The burgers are the best chicken burgers in Sydney, I’m also a big fan of the char grilled chicken too. But best off all is the chili sauce. Before Frangos I used to be a Nando’s fan, but since I was introduced to Frango’s by a work colleague I’ve been coming here on a weekly basis. Now for the negative — One thing I find annoying is when you collect your food, they ask you the if you want chili and/or mayo — the annoyance is that SOME of the staff members serving are extremely chinsy on the chili sauce, as if it’s liquid gold, and if you ask for more sauce some of staff get annoyed with you others will do it. The other annoying thing is, and this may be the reason for my first negative point is that they sell the chili sauce, a small container is $ 1.50 a larger container(which still not that large) is $ 3.50. So I guess the business model is to get the customer to buy the sauce by giving the customer a taste then having them buy it, where as at Nando’s the sauce is free flowing. And lastly there is one staff member who just never seems to be happy and has kind of a bad attitude, but unfortunately tends to be the one to serve the food most of the time, another lady who serves who I’m guessing is Portuguese because of the accent is very generous when it comes to service. But I can say that the food is that good that I can put up with these small issues, which by the way is only applicable at the take out/self seating section. If you want perfect evening at Frangos, make reservation for a table, where they have table service — here you can have the same food as the take out section plus more, like Espitada skewers, plus the liquid gold chili sauce is «free flowing»

The food is amazing but it stops there. The service is terrible. Wait times for the food is ridiculous. If you were to go on your lunch break during the week you would have used up your lunch hour just waiting for your food. Sad but true.

This place used to be great. The food has always been very very good, but thats where the positives end. Over time the value for what you get has decreased a bit. As they have gotten very popular recently, it seems like it gone to their head. They just do the bare minimum in regards to value. But the main problem is the service. They have become very rude and uncaring towards the customers now. Kinda like the soup-nazi on Seinfeld, ‘hurry up so we can serve others’ kind of attitude. This place while still making great food, has lost all other ethics about them, I hope they fix up their attitude cause its not really worth having to put up with.

Chic Chic Chicken time at Frangos. Usually I’ll come here for a quick take-away meal but this time was a proper sit down meal with the company of 5 friends. FOOD Between the 6 of us we had 2 Charcoal Chickens($ 36), Pork Espetada Skewer($ 29) Large Garlic Cubed Potatoes($ 15.50), Large chips($ 12) and a Large Garden Salad($ 15). We definitely over estimated and could’ve done without the Espetada, especially since it was too salty, very dry and tough. I recommend you sticking with what they are known for — the chicken. That being said there were comments made at the table that even the Chicken was a tad on the salty side. Nothing drenching it in chilli sauce can’t fix. Just like El Jannah’s this place is all about the sauce. Their chilli sauce is some secretly made fantastic tasting peri peri that makes you want to eat in so you can have unlimited sauce. While there are areas to sit if you are ‘taking away’ you are restricted to the sauce they give you which is usually never enough if you want to dip your chips into it as well. Chips and potato cubes were good as always. Salad provided good value with enormous slices of tomato and cucumber despite increasing tomato and cucumber prices! SERVICE Super busy restaurant even at 8.30 on a Thursday night. So while it says it closes at 9 we weren’t kicked out or told to rush our meal but left to enjoy ourselves till 9.30 as they were closing up. Love places that let you doggy bag. No wastage here! OVERALL While the chicken at Frangos was a bit dry and left me wishing for the juicy chicken at El Jannah’s, the chilli sauce alone is enough to render a 4 star rating.

Frangos is awesome the original portuguese burger with chilli and mayo is delicious. I add Beetroot to complete the burger. Their shoe string fries are delicious. Get the chilli and mayo to dip them in, it’s delicious. Service is always quick and efficient. Very happy to live and work round the corner :)

This is one of our favorite places to go to when we’re craving good quality chicken! Actually my mouth is watering while I’m writing this… [ Atmosphere ] There’s plenty of seating, indoor and outdoor. Very spacious, modern décor, clean, and it’s right in a business plaza next to Gloria Jeans. [ Service ] They have such a friendly group of servers. We had a guy named Smiley serve us and he was really on top of everything and made sure we got all our food and checked on us often to see if we needed anything else. He was also fun to talk to, which made the whole dining experience more enjoyable. Food always tastes better when your servers are full of smiles. [ Food ] — Chicken Skewers. Seriously, to die for. They’re succulent, juicy, tender, just amazing. — Potato Chips. I always get the ones that are cut in big slices, they’re so fun to eat. — Greek Salad. So fresh, salad dressing is perfect. — Garlic Prawns. So savory, especially the sauce. If you order this, you must dip the bread into the garlic sauce. It’s DELICIOUS. — Whole Chicken. The last time we had this I found it to be a bit too salty, but other then that, it’s always been good. — The SPECIAL sauce. It’s an orange colored sauce that comes in a bottle. This stuff is addicting! I wish I knew the recipe for this, because it goes perfectly with the chips and chicken. Frango’s should seriously sell this sauce because it’s SOGOOD. — Grandma’s delight. I wish the portion was a little bigger, but it’s such a delicate dessert. One of the servers said it’s been a family recipe for a long time, and it’s definitely one of my favorite desserts there. Frango’s is a must try! It gets pretty packed on the weekend, but if you call ahead of time they do take reservations.

Frango is a restaurant and takeaway, the promised home delivery but we are still waiting. They make okay chicken but they also charge a lot of money for what you get. It’s $ 29 for a whole chicken which to me, tastes like an ordinary barbecued chicken from any chicken store. If you decide to take away it will easily cost $ 50 for a chicken meal of chicken, chips, mayonnaise(which tastes like egg mayonnaise from the supermarket) and chili sauce. Obtusely, it is better value to go there and sit down and have a meal. You have a greater choice and it’s better value. Watch out for the waitress who thinks she owns the restaurant, She can’t handle stress and gets very moody, particularly with the rest of the staff.
