The perfect place for a bite before a movie, or a bite before clubbing. I highly recommend the mixed grill.

Located on the busy King George’s Road in Beverly Hills, Dergah Grill is the perfect place to go when waiting for a table is just not an option. This small takeaway shop is ideal for those forgetful Friday nights where a booking at your favourite restaurant is non-existent. The kebabs are nothing exceptional, but not terrible either with prices to match. Probably the best thing about this shop is the quick service and the ability to get your food without having to book in advance on those busy Friday and Saturday nights, and especially helpful for a quick bite before watching the latest movie at the neighbouring Beverly Hills Cinemas. And if you’re in the mood for a quick dessert make sure to try the baklava they have on offer… just limit yourself to maybe one or two because these tiny sweets will give you nothing short of a toothache.

My guilty pleasure, Dergah Grill is one of the swankiest kebab joints I’ve ever seen. The venue is large and quite beautiful(weird, I know, but that’s just how I see it). The furniture is grand and impressive; oversized, lacquered wooden thrones, the décor is unique and eye-catching– I’d been staring at those beautiful chairs long before I ever ventured in. And when I finally did, I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Seemingly clean and sanitary, Dergah’s service is always incredibly friendly and chatty. The kebabs are yummy, and the meat is succulent and fresh. Their salads and hot chips are also good choices. One of my favourite kebab shops, Dergah is a welcome change from the saturation of cafes and Chinese restaurants along King George’s Rd. Located 200 metres from Beverly Hills Railway Station, and next door to the cinema, it is the perfect place to grab a feed before a movie, or for a quick, reasonably priced meal after work when you really don’t feel like cooking.
