I broke my foot several months ago and as I’m a bit of fitness fanatic, I wanted to see a sports podiatrist who could give me advice to get me up and running and quick as possible. I booked in an appointment with LifeCare’s podiatrist in Bicton(the Point Walter Practice) over the phone with no need of a doctor’s referral. The practice is located within Bicton’s health centre, and is easily accessible by bus or car. My podiatrist(I think her name was Kate?) had excellent bed-side manner and really helped me to understand my fracture. She recommend a healthy level of exercise for myself whilst my foot is still healing, and recommended appropriate footwear for me. The whole consultation, which took roughly half an hour, cost around $ 75. If you have private health insurance there is a gap fee of around $ 20 depending on your provider. All up I was pleased with the care I received for the price I paid and would recommend the practice to anyone.
