Indian Temptations gives me the Indian spice food fix I sometimes badly crave. The food is cheap and really up to my expectations. I would prefer the food to be a bit spicier, but I suppose its tailored to the local taste. 2 Thumbs up!

Hands down the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, and here’s why: pure authenticity. Indian temptations is hard to miss with their large organise sign out the front. Though their restaurant is quite small with limited seating so there may be a wait on busy nights. They’re open to the early hours of the morning however, so it’s a great place for a midnight meal. On to the food. Amazing authentic Indian cuisine is what you will get at Indian temptations. All the food are prepared fresh for you. Each curry is packed full of an array of flavours that I cannot begin to describe. We ordered 5 curries, 1 of each type of meats(beef, chicken, lamb, goat and seafood). Each one were amazing in their own right. The naan bread that was ordered were cooked really well with the outside crispy and the inside soft and fluffy. Amazing experience all around. Huge value of money. There’s nothing I can fault here. I would definitely be back again!

Had heard a lot about the tasty food of Indian Temptations but was a bit disappointed with the customer service as well as the food. Had ordered Samosa chaat amd Chicken tikka. The tamarind and mint sauce in samosa chaat was but bland and not at all tangy or minty! Chicken tikka looked beautiful but when tasted chicken was undercooked and lacked flavours. When told the staff at counter that chicken was under cooked, they replied that our chef is well trained cannot make silly mistakes! Was taken aback by the response. Will never go back.

Great Palak Paneer, value for money and quick service. Well worth the drive to Blair Athol from anywhere in Adelaide. Ordered Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and Eggplant together with 2 Garlic naan and a large rice. Satisfied 4 grown adults for under $ 55. Highly recommend.

Sad to say reviews don’t match the food. Dry and salty lamb and butter chicken tasteless. Will not be back.

Best Indian food around. Never disappoints. Butter chicken is our favourite. Fast service, affordable prices, entertaining atmosphere. Very, very popular so be prepared for no seats to eat in and they cook right in front of you so you’ll walk out with your clothes smelling heady with spices. We won’t eat Indian anywhere else.

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve never been in Adelaide. Really nothing to blame, maybe just the appearance of the place. I mean, they should make it larger and cleaner. That’s why I don’t rate 5 stars, but we are very close.

After hearing from a friend that this was THE place to order Indian food from, I was both curious and keen and once my curiosity was satisfied I was then keen to head back — time and time again! We ordered via the website and the total was very cheap — 1 x butter chicken, 1 x lamb korma, 1 x malia kofta, 3 x garlic naan, 1 x rice for less than $ 50! and when we arrived I was glad we per-ordered; the street was bustling in this suburban area and all with people trying to get some Indian food in their bellies! We battled the crowd to collect our order which was all ready to go and my god did it smell amazing! The taste though was the best — the butter chicken was delicious, one of the best I have ever had but the real genuine highlight and the reason that I will be returning was the malia kofta. This isn’t something that I’d had before but it was recommended by a friend and oh my gosh please do try it. Just writing this is making me drool, all over my keyboard. Yum.

It’s one of those rare 5 star reviews for me! This place has the best butter chicken I have eaten, and I eat a LOT of butter chicken, we usually order take-away so I haven’t actually sat to dine in the store myself. The opening hours are fantastic, from 11am — 2am you can satisfy your Indian cravings, I have never gone past the place and seen it empty. The value for what you get is great. The chicken is fresh and moist and the rice is never over cooked. There is not a lot you can say when it comes to ordering take-away from a place, but not a lot needs to be said. Don’t go anywhere else for Indian, go here. Now.

There’s an old saying that goes something like«when in Rome, do as the Romans do». When it comes to Indian — eat where the Indians eat! Indian temptations doesn’t make any reservations as to what it is — they are an Indian takeaway joint on main north rd. they aren’t glamorous, they won’t attract the high end clientele — that’s why I love these guys! My housemate and I had a hankering for Indian last night, he had let me on his little secret recently — so I obliged and away we went. Indian Temptations is a tiny little hole in a wall with bright orange walls, the kitchen taking up half the space and Indian tv blaring in the background. The cheerful old owner runs around and makes sure everyone is enjoying their meal. The ladies who take orders and serve don’t speak or understand English very well so you must write it down for them which I found novel. I chose two entrees vegetable pakora and chicken tikka, tandoor style. Both were served in generous portions with tasty dipping sauces and at very reasonable prices, a delicious mango lassee kept the heat down and was as thick as a maccas thickshake! My friend ordered the spinach paneer, with rice, roti and a serving of pakora — both meals were fantastically generous and just under or around the $ 20 mark. A fantastic, tasty meal with a wonderful smile, thank you and a complimentary mouthful of aniseed and sugar mouth freshener and we were on our away! Cannot wait for another Indian hankering!

Indian temptation’s venue is not pleasing to the eye, but is tantalizing on the taste buds! The staff are more then happy to offer you whatever you require when ever you need it, ordering is done by writing your own order on paper and placing it in with the kitchen staff! Original but brilliant in that you get exactly what you want with no confusion! The byriani was by far one of the best on offer in Adelaide accompanied by a delicious Riata(yoghurt and cucumber). Beef madras is a must with the beef slow cooked to perfection and the sauce a perfect blend of spices. It doesn’t end there the gulab jarmon made to order that is amazing! The best I have ever eaten! Points of for the entrée as the onion bhaji was not up to scratch. However at the fantastically budget prices and large portion sizes this can be over looked! I’ll be back here!

Easily the best place to come for Indian take away. This place ticks all the boxes for me — an I am just constantly amazed at how the staff are always so easy going when they must be stressed to the max in that tiny kitchen! Would also like to mention that their online ordering system is quite excellent — efficient and logically laid out. It is well worth ordering ahead too as they are so often busy. Every time I’ve used it I have been very glad that I did.

Have come here several times and have not been disappointed. This hole-in-the-wall kind of place has great food, a good number of options if you want to try something new, or find new dishes to love. Servings are very filling, you order a side of rice and main dish I guarantee you’ll be happily full. I can hardly get through half my own, but my partner is able to. It’s casual, they generally have served food fast, and it’s a great place to unwind. Just keep in mind it can still get quite busy even during the late hours!

Went back to Indian Temptations this evening. I had the rice ready at home; all I wanted was the curry. Dammit! I forgot this restaurant’s extremely annoying policy of only taking plastic for orders over $ 20. My mixed vego curry was less than half that, so I headed off to find an ATM. It was quite a walk to where I had parked, and it was nearly 20 minutes by the time I returned. There wasn’t a park to be had within 100 metres of the place. I’m afraid I just thought stuff them. They can put my curry back in the pot. I bought fish and chips on my way home.

I heartily agree with lots of the previous reviews, great tasting Indian food, generous serves, huge naan. My hubby loves Indian and he told me his extra hot vindaloo was delicious, my mild prawn malai was fragrant, the prices are good and judging by the number of customers, coming in or phoning, this place is very popular with a wide range of people

Best curry in Adelaide at the best prices! Usually get the vindaloo and spinach chicken its great to mix or share. I don’t understand how they can give such huge naan breads for $ 2 how is that possible?!? No matter how far you live its worth the drive!

When you think of authentic, delicious, value for money Indian food in Adelaide you think INDIANTEMPTATIONS. Everyone I know who has been here love this place, and I mean absolutely love it! I am just salivating thinking about the food. All of the dishes pack a real punch of flavour and spice which is fantastic. Nothing is bland here! It’s a great place to come with a big group where you can share the meals and split the bill. In terms of décor it’s quite basic and run down looking but that’s not why one comes to Indian Temptations for. You come for the damn good Indian cuisine! You know an Indian restaurant is good when Indian families eat at the place, and this place is no exception. The owner is also very friendly, and attentive, service is fast and efficient, although one time the waitress forgot to bring out my second order of garlic naan but that’s okay because it was flat out busy that night. I did however find it a bit strange that you had to write on a pad paper of what you wanted to order but that didn’t bother me too much. It’s also great that you can phone up, place a take away order and come pick it up after 20 minutes or so. I would recommend to eat outside or takeaway unless you want to end up heavily smelling of Indian food, not that’s an entirely a bad thing but it’s quite a nuisance if you’re planning to head somewhere else after. You know what makes this place even better? The fact that it opens very late every night until 2am I think. How great is that? This is the place to go if you’re looking for something satisfactory in the early hours of the morning or in need of some serious good food to absorb all of that alcohol after a big night out.

There’s always Indian cab drivers and Indian families in this place, which can only be good. I’ve only been twice but the person who sent me here spent months in India working and told me it’s up there with the best authentic Indian places in Adelaide. I’d only eat Indian maybe once or twice a year so I can’t add to that claim… What I can say is that the price and freshness of the food here is top notch. The kitchen is visible and they’re always cooking. One of the huge things to be wary of in any takeaway joint is when you can’t see people working in a kitchen; an Indian place off of Gouger street that won’t be named put me off Indian for nearly 3 years after a shocking meal. All they had in their kitchen was one person and a dozen pots with lids on them; all off heat. Bad news. For the health conscious there’s smatterings of ghee in all their curries, as you’d expect; grab the tandoori chicken pieces entrée or the chicken spinach as a slightly better option. Neither are perfect but I’m guessing you didn’t enter an Indian takeaway joint to order chicken, broccoli and rice, so go nuts.

Wow! This place was a surprise! Found myself in the middle of nowhere region of middle of nowhere Adelaide and came across this awesome Indian eatery. It’s a mom & pop operation for sure. When you order the lady behind the counter just turns around and grabs a pan, and you feel a little like you just asked your Indian mom to make you some lunch. I tried the matter paneer(9.50) and garlic naan(3.50) and it was all very good(more of a spicy than sweet dish). Naan could have been more garlicky, but it was fluffy, huge, and delicious. Atmosphere isnt anything to speak of, so if you need that order takeaway — it looks like they even have online ordering. **Don’t use their bathroom though. It’s outback, in the 18th century. Just trust me.
