Bleeding cuticles and an infection is not how you want to leave a nail salon. On my one an only visit to this salon, I began to regret it as I was sitting there noticing how absolutely filthy the place was. Dusty dirty shelves, and seriously doubtful sterilising practices. I saw a staff member putting away nail tools at the end of the day and she was just wiping them with a dirty towel. Anyway, she filed down my nails so short that they actually tore the skin on one finger tip. When she trimmed my cuticles she dug so deep as to cause bleeding on three fingers and now I have what appears to be an ingrown nail. After all the filing and creaming, my hands were ‘washed’ with the same dirty water that they had initially been sat in. So gross. DONOT set foot in this place.

Nothings worse than spending money on a manicure only to have it ruined 5 minutes later when you put your hand in your bag to grab your wallet or you bump it whilst trying to turn your car ignition… as much as you can spend 10 minutes«under the dryer» — the truth is they’re never really dry… that was until I discovered Shilac. This awesome nail experience allows you to have perfect nails for about 2 weeks… It’s more expensive than a normal manicure — costing around $ 40 — but I had mine done a week ago at Nail Design and it still looks brand new… As soon as your treatment is finishes(it take around 30 minutes) you can open up a can of coke and not chip the new paint work — how awesome is that? I first discovered Shilac at Sydney Fashion week and I love it… not all salons do the treatment — but Nail Design does… The woman who did my nails did such a great job shaping and buffing that before she even put the polish on my hands looked 100% better. If you’re wanting a lasting manicure, i CAN’T recommend this enough…
