One of the best restaurants in Bondi junction. Beautiful food consistently, very affordable. Always packed at dinner any day of the week so book in advance. Order the grilled eggplant, sashimi, or smoked salmon salad with caviar.

Really generous proportion! It did take a while to get the table service and there might only be one chef at the back. I had a couple of sushi dishes and they weren’t bad but they weren’t so fresh either. It was a-OK. Make a reservation if you can and don’t come hungry as the wait can irritate you. AJ

I don’t go to Bondi Junction very often. But if you find yourself over that way and you are looking for a good place to eat, try Wa. It’s an authentic Japanese restaurant set in a beautiful ornate terrace that seems to go back forever. And so does the menu. I can’t help you decided what to get from the edamame, gyoza dumplings, sashimi and sushi, yukitori chicken, karaage chicken and crab, teriyaki beef, pork and chicken. But I do recommend the seaweed salad, the nasu dengaku spicy deep-fried eggplant and the ginger beef.

The food here is amazing, but expect to settle in for a bit when you come for dinner. My friend and I sat down at 7:30 and didn’t leave until 9:45– and no, we weren’t going for a romantic dinner where you linger over dessert. This isn’t that type of place. We both went with a seaweed salad to start. For just $ 10 you can’t go wrong– the portion is massive and the dressing(like most Japanese places) is finger licking good. The sushi was really good as well and reasonably priced. If it didn’t take so long to come out I would have rated this place five stars for sure. They do do delivery so if you’re looking for great food and don’t want to wait a few years to get it I would recommend going down that route!
