I feel no shame in saying that hot dogs from Harry’s was one of our favorite meals while in Sydney. Mushy peas and mashed potatoes on a hot dog is seriously one genius idea. My husband got the version with the chili con carne, which I naively though would be too much. Nope. It was excellent. If we had been in the area longer we would have definitely eaten there again and I would have tried to convince myself to try something different, like the meat pie, but that hot dog will forever call to me.

Good food and friendly service. The tiger pie is definitely recommend. It looks small but is extremely filling.

No nonsense style diner that serves up hot food quick and delicious. The menu offers classics such as meat pies and hot dogs with a variety of flavour options. They are renowned for their tiger pie which is basically a meat pie that comes with mash on the top of it and the option to cover that with gravy and peas should you so please. The Café is shaped like a food truck and it’s designed with all the celebrities who have frequented the joint over the years from models to Hollywood heartthrobs. I decided to opt for the roll. They give you the option of a soft roll of crunchy, I wanted crunchy. I selected the steak roll which was full of onions and gravy and mushy peas. Really delicious and filling and you need a fork to assist you in eating this as the roll is full full full.

Love mashed potatoes, pea soup, and beef pie, so when I stumbled upon Harry’s in front of Bondi Beach with its«Tiger» beef pie with mash peas, potato, and gravy I was very excited — everything I ever wanted in one plate! Portion was generous and the thick dark beef gravy was special — rich with a tiny zing of peppery spiciness that I loved. Pie itself had a good portion of meat — very satisfied! Place was no nonsense fast food facing the beach(not on, but the street above) — appreciated having the smells and sounds of the beach waft up to me while chowing down my triple threat stack of goodness!

My first Australian meat pie! And it. was. amazing. I ordered the Tiger which is a pie of your choice with a scoop of mashed potatoes and peas on top. Beef and brown gravy, what’s there not to like?! Fun fact — Harry was a boxer and they called him the tiger. I wish i had a badass nickname… maybe one day.

We saw a ton of people walking down the street with these delicious chili hotdogs and thought to try the taste everyone is walking away with. I love the variety and it is in a perfect location near the beach. We had a hotdog with guacamole and chili. Everything tasted good except the hotdogs itself. It tasted like the stock hotdogs you get from the supermarket, sadly. I probably won’t come here again.
