I first ran across this Sushi Sushi franchise in Melbourne and loved it. When I saw it at the Garden City shopping mall, I was even more delighted. Fast food sushi-style, this is cheap and I have say well presented and tasty. Value for money comes to mind and you have a fairly decent choice from the usual salmon and tuna rolls to the chicken, spicy lobster and other spiced up morcels. Sashimi platters are also there, and I tell you what, this is pretty fresh stuff. The place is so popular that nothing lasts long before being replaced with newly rolled pieces. One gripe: you have to have cash. No cards accepted or EFPOS. Majorly annoying in this day and age when you hardly need cash for anything unless you are trying to avoid the taxman!

I never would have thought I would be one to like a sushi franchise. I’m finicky about seafood in terms of taste, colour, and freshness. I won’t touch anything that looks the wrong colour or smells wrong. However, every Sushi Sushi,(admittedly two), I’ve bought from has not disappointed. There’s a selection of sushi hand rolls for($ 2.80-$ 3.00 each) as well as inari,($ 2.20 — $ 2.80 each), nigiri, as well as sashimi and packs to go. All incredibly fresh and full of flavour. There are a few modern twists on old favourites as well. Definitely worth trying. I’ve only just recently found out that they also cater.
