Beautiful nature reserve tucked in Boronia Heights. The picnic area is quite sparse with only a few covered tables and wood fire BBQs. There is a public toilet and small playground for the kids. Winding away from the sizeable carpark are several paved walking tracks. Stay nice and quiet on your hike and you’ll find out why this reserve is so special. Kangaroos, koalas, kookaburras, brightly coloured parrots and lots of other bird life are ever present. I’ve never visited Boronia Bushland Reserve without coming across the huge mob of kangaroos that live in the area. Sometimes they come right out into the playground area to munch on the grass.
