Hello. I’m Anne-​Lise Larsen, and I’m a classically trained cellist, jazz singer and independent recording artist. I studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music and worked as a freelance cellist and singer with various professional musical ensembles before deciding to move to Sydney in 1998. Larsen Music is my live events music service where I specialise in supplying to weddings, corporate functions and private events my network of first class professional and reliable classical, jazz and lounge musicians. All Larsen Music musicians are tertiary qualified in music, or have at least a decade of professional performing experience (in most cases, both!).

Upon graduating from the Qld Conservatorium, Anne-​Lise worked as a strings teacher in the Qld Ed Dept and a number of private schools as a cello teacher. She soon returned to her true love of performing. Freelancing as a cellist in Brisbane for a number of years, she packed up and moved to Sydney for a fresh start, where she was able to pursue her secret dream for a jazz singing career while re-​establishing herself in the new city as a cellist. Her live projects included the A-​L Larsen Duo with Andy Manessis and an original band with Sunbury Aztec Paul Wheeler on bass. Anne-​Lise has released a self penned, recorded and produced EP called I’m Alive (2006) and an album called Planets Aligned (2009). In 2008 Anne-​Lise supported Sophie Serafino at The Basement in Sydney, singing her own original songs and accompanying herself on her cello. In 2010 she joined edgy originals band Machiniso and formed the LL Cool Jazz duo with Scott Leishman.
