Absolutely adore this place. Went there at sunset and it was beautiful ! Had lots of pictures in front of so many of those cute little huts.

Perfect place for some touristy, social media worthy photos. A little out of the way. We took the train and walked there. Plenty of boxes for photo ops. Really adorable. The sand was quite rocky though so be careful.

The main reason why I wanted to go to Melbourne was so I can catch a tram and a train from CBD to Brighton Beach to see the Bathing Boxes. I love colors and Brighton Beach is full of it. I started walking down to the beach from Esplanade and State until I spotted the colorful Bathing Boxes. I got my morning exercise in with a beautiful view of the beach and Melbourne cityscape. People walking their dogs, jogging, and smoking weed behind the bushes. You’ll pass by a series of benches: The Healing Bench, The Friend’s Bench, The Inspiration Bench, The Healthy Living Bench, The Couples Bench, etc. There are about 80+ cute little bathing boxes — each painted in different colors. OKC Thunder colors, red, blue, yellow, green, purple, pastels, rainbow, seahorse, birds, video game icon… and the most photographed bathing box #2: the Aussie flag bathing box. It’s beautiful!

Most beaches look like… well. a beach. they all kinda look the same. At Brighton, you get a little slice of awesome with all of the little colourful sheds lined on the beach. Bring you camera, bring your swim gear, and spend the day at this awesome beach. Oh yeah. and cloudy days are the best for shooting pictures.

Very picturesque location with tons of bathing boxes lined up for a picture perfect op. The colors of the bathing boxes are so bright and vibrant, you can’t help but take multiple pictures from every possible angle to capture as many boxes as you can. There are a lot of wind surfers in the area too. Definitely worth the 15min train ride to see the bathing boxes!

Brighton beach is one of the nicer beaches I’ve had the pleasure of checking out in Melbourne. Convenient to get to and no problem finding a great spot. Bring mini speakers and obviously a few drinks but keep it on the downlow :) Will be back again before the sunny days dwindle away.

Brighton beach is a lovely spot that is only 15mins from the city, but it feels like you’re on the other side of town. Its sandy white beach line seems to stretch on for ages, if you follow it you’ll come across many unique spots, perfect for picnics and sun baking. The main area has a large footpath shared by riders, joggers and roller-skaters. There are a few cafes right on the beach line, and a lot more just further up the road in the Brighton shopping district. My favorite attribute about Brighton beach is its leash free dog zone, a blocked off bit on the sand that goes into the water where you can let your canine friend run/swim free. There are lots of dogs here on the weekends; it’s almost like a social meeting point for them. Love this beach, good sand and great area to be in.
