Avoid Brisbane Man with a Van at all costs. I booked them to move some goods for my mother who lives in Brisbane on Saturday 16th June but he never showed.
30 minutes after he was due to pickup he rang her to say his van had broken down on the way to the job and he was awaiting RACQ and would let her know. Everyone understands these types of things happen (that’s life) and that’s fine, but for the rest of the day she didn’t hear anything back and nor did he show for the booked job. To make matters worse our phone calls to Brisbane Man With a Van’s mobile weren’t answered and we received no call back at anytime. SMS’s were also ignored.
Moving can be a very stressful time for anyone and all I would have asked for is that they notified us that they would not be coming. Not only as a courtesy but because that’s how any professional business should be run. Ignoring phone calls is extremely amateur.
He seems to have done the same to many other customers. Many have left messages on the Brisbane Man with a Van Facebook page but they get deleted shortly after being posted (including mine).
