I admit I only went to Parc because I scored a fantastic Scoopon deal for a three course meal for two at this restaurant. Straight away, I was impressed with its elegant, modern design. The interior plays horizontal and vertical lines against the organic backdrop of the parklands effectively. After sampling their wine list, I began to suspect the only reason Parc isn’t as popular as other bars is that it’s secreted away at the wrong end of the city. For a main, I went for spaghetti with prawns, chorizo, Napoli and grana pandana. It was a safe option as I’m a big fan of any sort of pasta marinara. My husband went for sirloin with potato raclette, onion rings and port jus. We were both happy with our meal. I found my dessert of crème brulee a little overdone as the cream tasted grainy, almost as if it had curdled. Despite this minor setback, the Parc is definitely worth investigating if you’re on the Roma St end of the city.
