Helpfully placed in the centre of Queen st Mall is the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre.
This place is good for tours and accommodation bookings, events and entertainment information, brochures and maps, or general tourist advice you need for the Brisbane and Greater Brisbane areas.
If you can’t find a place in the city or your phone has died, the lovely ladies at the Information Centre are well equipped to lend you hand. My only annoyance is that sometimes they are busy so you may have to wait for a couple of minutes.

Tucked smack in the middle of the Queen Street Mall, this confined walk-in kiosk offers flyers, brochures, magazines, and maps for things to do in and around Brisbane.
I came here during my first month of living here, and found some very useful guides to take home. Employees approached me asking if I needed assistance, so friendly customer service all around.
You can buy event tickets (or at least get information on how to get them) here, get directions, and so forth.
I don’t think it matters whether you’re a visitor, new to the area, or a long time Brisbane resident, I’m sure you’ll find information that you haven’t had access to before.

Lost and confused and wandering around Brisbane like a tourist, I find myself very very bad with directions. I am not at all ashamed to admit that I have visited the Visitors Information Centre on many an occasion to ask where ‘x’ bus stop was or how to get to ‘y’ building.
The staff here are used to dealing with visitors and give great directions in relation to land marks for the directionless local, tourist, or out of towner. They have a lot of information about things to do in Brisbane (although most of them are touristy) as well as translink information. If you get sick of trawling through Unilocal for ideas on what to do in Brisbane, you can definitely give the brochure wall a look here for some ideas.

Hello I was wondering where ‘insert anything in the world’ is? Well that’s probably a little obnoxious but my point is that the staff and resources at your disposal here are incredibly informative and helpful even for locals let alone tourists.
Smack band in the center of the mall between the Pig and Whistle and Jimmys you will find pamphlets and information on tours and attractions, maps, restaurant lists, local hot spots, day trips, zoo and theme park brochures the list is endless. If you get stuck and can’t find exactly what you need on the wall there are usually ample staff to answer your questions with a smile.

Attention all tourists, backpackers and disorientated locals.
This is the all-knowing eye of Brisbane. It’s located halfway down Queen Street mall, outside the Wintergarden. This is the place to go if you need to find a store, book tickets to events, query transport routes or even if you ‘re just bored and looking for event suggestions.
In case your sense of direction is so bad you can’t find the information centre, they’ve also started this service called ‘Roving Ambassadors’. Look for their friendly roving staff anywhere along Queen Street Mall with their blue and yellow uniforms with ‘i’ logo emblazoned on it.
