One hungry Saturday I was walking past the food court, & I got a look at the roast pork and thought — mmm yum: D For $ 8.50 a serve of roast pork, roast potatoes, pumpkin and some pea’s were to be had. So I ordered and paid. When she was gathering the meat, she picked up a large glob looking bit(I couldn’t be too sure through the window) and said«is that bit ok?» I shrugged, but when she gave me the plate I had another look and it was pure fat. So I said — no please can I have some actual meat, so she threw the hunk of ‘fat’ out and served up some meat. By this stage I had already paid, so she handed me my meal(without a word — very unfriendly) so I went off to eat. While the pork was OK and at a decent temperature the roast pumpkin was lukewarm at best. I had to eat it up quick before it went cold. The potato’s were a bit better but still by the end were cold. The meat was nice. But that’s about it. They also did not serve any pea’s or apologise for none being available. By the time I discovered the cold veggies I really did not want to go back to face the girl who had served me — she made me feel like I was a hassle in the first place. So I take to the internet like a keyboard warrior, to vent and perhaps prevent others from suffering my fate… and perhaps the business will read this and learn a few lessons. Or something…

They claim to be Australia’s best gourmet sandwich makers; if this is the case then it’s a sad day for sandwiches. It’s possibly the service that pisses me off more than anything at this store. The half-assed, can’t be bothered, do you REALLY have to order something else? attitude really irritates me! The bacon roll I got for brunch a few weeks back just topped off a bad experience all round, I was lucky if I got a bite of bacon with my fat. And for a ‘gourmet’ sandwich bar, the rolls were sadly average, not even fresh. I did get a fairly decent chicken and cheese sandwich for my daughter once, but only after directing step by step what I wanted(and got a fairly indignant eyes rolled response). There is a nice little coffee shop opposite Target towards the entrance of the shopping centre; they do a mean foccaccia if you’re after a sandwich, but I wouldn’t waste my time with a fancy filling.
