Good things: food is healthy, wide variety, delicious and the service is friendly. Need to improve: opening hours are very limited, not late enough, and closed when they say they will be open. Too expensive for the amount you get, not the quality. If you’re getting take away & you want to have it heated they put each dish in the microwave one at a time!!! Takes forever, ironic. In saying all that the food is worth it and I would go there more often if it was more value for money.

More canteen hall or bakery than café, this place always seems a bit over priced to me. With a wide range of Italian-style vegetarian food, there is nothing wrong with the fare at vege2go. But it isn’t all that sexy either. I always go in there with the desire to get a nice healthy meal(which I certainly get) and leave feeling like I probably paid about twice as much as I should have. I also find the staff a little unfriendly. Its not that the service is bad. Its just like there is the general feeling that all the staff are deeply unhappy or something. On a plus side they make home made kombucha tea. Which is a fermented japanese tea, that has gained a lot of popularity in recent times for its health and weight loss benefits. I know there are a lot of people out there in search of this — so folks if you are one of these — this is a good place to go. They also do take-away salads etc if you want to take a healthy meal home for the family.

Don’t be put off by the lack of light coming out of here. The lights may not appear to be on but there is definitely magic at home. Closer inspection on the wonders under heat lamps on display have you salivating, the oils and spices wafting and making the face light up and salivate. The healthy doses of what has been described as vegetalian on more than one occasion — salads, sandwiches for light, pastas and risotto stuffed capsicum etc. for the heavier — make for a delicious lunch, or take away to have at your leisure. Expect your pocket money to go far here, with meals a steal in comparison to the size of the dishes. Also expect your company to consist of new-mums-and-bubs and the healthy conscious folk.

This place is all a bit la-di-da, and too far over ten bucks a lunch for this camper. The fact that they describe their fodder as vegitalian pretty much says it all. But the delights they’re whipping up in her are undeniably healthy and delicious looking. There is a fair selection of salads to choose from and delectable sandwiches, pizzas, pasta dishes and treats. All dishes are available in handy size variants and take-home containers. It’s sort of like for busy mums on the go who actually give a toss about their children’s calorie intake while they pollute the atmosphere in their unnecessarily large European RVs. The place is busy and you can eat in. There’s a bar along the footpath that always draws looks from hungry passers by as men in polo shirts read the Herald and chow down on a healthy panini before tennis. So if you’ve got the bucks in your back pocket, get in there, show off. I’ll stick to the, decidedly less healthy for my gut but more healthy for my hip pocket, Lebanese pie joints nearby.
