Oh Brunswick you are so beautiful with your hipsters, grandmas and general people of non-descript. Charles Weston is an old school style corner pub, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney Road and serves people of all sorts. Surprisingly Charles offers a lot of parking for cars and bikes. Big comfy couches, open fire place and some ambient lighting this was a great choice for Friday night after work drinks. The drinks menu here is leaning more towards the beer loving hipster. The wine menu was a little stinted for my liking and considering the area. I was still able to get a nice Pinot Grigio which made me happy. The confusing part was the staff happily creating negronis for our group but they don’t do cocktails. I see…

Charles Weston is a pub tucked away from the busy Sydney road, but don’t be fooled it can pack up in the weekend like any other pub on the busier side of the street. It’s a big space, with warm cozy area at the bar, the dining room stretches out the back to meet the garden and outside dining. Food menu is lovely and there is kids menu for the littlies. The tapas style food is a crowd pleaser and main selection is enjoyable. We love the staff, friendly, accomodating and happy to chat Overall, Charles Weston is a great local, with great space and enjoyable food.
