It was only a matter of time that The Cupcake Parlour would extend its sweetness to other Brisbane ‘burbs. I was always intrigued ever since I saw the West End Store. Luckily for me, The Cupcake Parlour is now in Bulimba, which is a lot closer than West End. Located behind the 7 – 11 on Riddell Street(just off Oxford St), the candy pink and white trim of the store and sage advice of «Keep Calm Eat a cupcake» instantly brightens up your day. I am by no means a cupcake expert, but I have definitely enjoyed the cupcakes I have had here of late. The only difficult thing is deciding which one is your favourite flavour. The regular cupcakes start from $ 3.95 each, but its best to buy a 6 pack or more if you want to save a few bucks. There are several tantalizing flavours to choose from, and seriously its almost embarrassing uumming and aarring at the counter being mesmerised by the colours of each cupcake. Each cupcake taunting you into submission. Regular cupcakes«Death by Chocolate», «Marbelous», «Cookies ‘n’ Cream», «Choc Tim Tam Slam», and special edition ones like«Blueberry» are the death of me. The Cupcake Parlour of course caters for all special occasions and can do deliveries as well as Custom cupcakes for an extra charge. However, I recommend walking and picking it up, as not only is it cheaper, you can feel better that you’ve already exercised, and therefore deserve a Cupcake!

This is one of the few cupcake locations that offer more than 1 gluten-free cupcake flavors. I was able to pick up 4 different flavors, a treat for my husband out of guilt(I ate 4 macarons in a sitting, and didn’t leave any for him) I especially enjoyed the chocolate mint cupcake. The banana cupcake was moist and tasty. I’m not particular towards the date — too dry. It cost about $ 4.50 each, and the cupcakes aren’t that big. Note this location is actually just off a side street off Oxford St, just behind 7 – 11. You can order online to have cupcakes delivered!
