Bar 8

My favorite thing about Bar 8, is hands down the music. The tracks they played made me feel at home in my heyday. And I liked that.
I came on Monday night and we made a night of a few games of pool and then ended with some table tennis. I’m kind of a stranger to playing pool, it’s not something I’d normally go out to do so maybe that has an effect on this review.
This hall is filled with numerous pool tables, two tennis tables, one (or two) air hockey tables and a jukebox. It’s a chill atmosphere, and everyone is doing their own thing. I wouldn’t say it’s an ideal place for people watching. There isn’t a ton of beer selection, but they have a well-​stocked liquor range. None of the staff looked really pleased to be at work, but that’s just a side note.

Great place to just kick back and have a few drinks with your mates during the week. Have a great lounge — absolutely massive screen which covers an entire wall and also as many pool and snooker tables as the eyes can see. Music gets pumping near the end of the week, a few tracks to dance to and a smokers area on a undercover patio so you don’t need to go outside (for those of you who need to).
They pretty much have you set up so you never need to leave no matter what mood your in. Bar staff are knowledgeable and friendly, never have to wait too long for a drink and can mix you anything you want :-)
Its positioned at the back of a lot, so there is always heaps of parking and in a great spot on Grimshaw street.
