Essence Catering you would imagine is just a regular catering company where you order food, then they deliver and serve it at one of your functions. Well you would indeed be right if you thought this because at first I did not even know that it was a catering company. I was around Buranda waiting to pick someone up nearby but had some time to kill so, I decided to drop into the Essence café. It did look like just another coffee shop but I was impressed with the quality of the cappuccino that I got. It was hot when I got it and did not just taste like warm milk with a hint of coffee. The food that they serve is good as well with a good range for breakfast and lunch. They also have a menu that’s more suited in a restaurant with things like salt and pepper squid, pizza wraps and house style curries which is not normally something you see in a café. The food is really good and even though I only had a starter which was a bruschetta it was still good and fresh. I only found out by being there that they were a catering service too and based on the food they serve in the café I am sure the catering service will be good as well.
