Lovely beachside café in the northern suburbs. Breakfast menu is really interesting and varied but if you want to build your own as well they will do it which is great. Smoothies are amazing, need to find out what is in the green revolution one! Recommended if you want a beach side brekkie in the northern suburbs!

The menu has definitely improved but they still need some work on their service. It is a great place to relax after a walk along the coast but we received our meals at the table one at a time. The last dish arrived 15 minutes after the rest of the food was served.

I come to this Restaraunt all the time. The staff are really friendly and the food is always brilliant. Lunch and dinner menus are awesome. Food is well presented. For a local Restaraunt it is starting to get quite expensive. With some meals changing in price over a week, like the hot pots at lunch. They used to be around $ 10 for a large and now, are around $ 20. There is also only table service at dinner, but food and coffee comes out really quickly.

I grew up near this café and spent many summers here buying milkshakes and icecreams. We recently went here for my grandmas birthday breaky. The location is amazing, natural and not over commercialized for a coastal location. The interior is simple. It was busy on the Sunday morning so we are glad we booked a table. The menu had variety, coffees were average– not the best or the worst Ive had and they weren’t ridiculously overpriced so that was nice. Service was fine. It’s counter service so good if going in a group and don’t want to split the bill. All in all, nota bad establishment for breaky, nice but nothing to rave on about. My only thing that annoyed me was that I ordered a breakfast menu item which included smoked salmon. As a regular breakfast goer, smoked salmon is a regular for me. It’s usually thinly sliced or shaved smoke salmon so I was a bit disappointed when I got a whole cooked smoked salmon fillet. If it had said smoke salmon fillet that would have been fine and I wouldn’t have ordered it. But apart from that, it was an alright eat.

A lazy summer day lead us to what felt like a little summer holiday town with a cute little café tucked in next to the caravan park on the beach. The café suits the environment being relaxed fresh and airy with plenty of shaded outdoor seating. The menu has a terrific range of breakfast items to choose from. I chose the potato rosti with poached eggs, bacon, chutney and rocket. Tasty but a bit bland, it would have been so much better if the eggs were runny and perhaps some salsa or some chilli sauce on the side. I would have loved a fresh juice but none on the menu. Unfortunately my friends mango and banana smoothie was so sweet we had to question if the mango was perhaps not fresh mango. I’d certainly head back to this little café with a bottle of chilli sauce and half a day to hire a retro bike and enjoy this great little spot.

Another case of reviewers blindsided by «Perth syndrome» I think… I live in Kinross. Burns Beach is across the road from me. I regularly go for walks down to the beach so I know the area well. Today I went down to the café for lunch — my first time there. Wow… Firstly, the prices. $ 26 for a chicken Caesar salad… Really? Not in this lifetime! So I chose Wagyu beef burger, $ 22. This is a bit more expensive then a Wagyu burger at Jus Burger and I figure I’d be able to accurately gauge how much of a rip off this place was going to be based on something similar that I really love(see my review on Jus Burgers) Where do I start? The beef? I doubt it’s Wagyu. Or it’s the lowest grade patty they could find. The bread? Same quality I’d expect to pull off the shelf of a Coles bakery. The salad was… Average. The chips were garden variety to below average quality. But I can’t get over how all of it combines to such exorbitant pricing. Am I paying for the view? If that’s the case I’ll eat in Cottesloe and get the view, the same price and MUCH better quality food. The venue is simply a shack. Looks about as good as my old primary school canteen. The service wasn’t good or bad. Go up to the counter, pay for your food and wait for it to arrive. Just… Wow, the prices I couldn’t believe. I won’t be back.

I was overwhelmingly pleased with this secluded delight. I happened upon Burns Beach Café after I’d spent a joyful few hours trolling through rock pools, soaking up sun and encasing much of my body in white, welcoming sand. I was extra ravenous and delighted to find a place by the beach that served such delectable delights. Try the beer battered chips when you treat yourself to an experience at this joyful eatery. The chips were more like wedges and they were the personification of divinity. Crisp and golden brown on the outside and tender hot and more-ish on the inside. I think they only set me back about ten bucks and there was more than enough for two in the bountiful basket of post-sun goodness. The chocolate éclair I savoured was also top notch. Brimming with real cream and bigger than most desserts of its kind, it was a joy to devour. The place was super clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. ‘A room with a view’ best describes this beach side sanctuary and comforting conifers and some shade cloth over the outdoor area extended our beach vibe. The café is open for dinner too and I’d love to come back and listen to the magic sound of waves meeting the shore. I’m sure whatever I sample will make my taste buds sing.
