i usually get take out from here. as an occasional treat. the lady who owns it i believe her name is Esther. i went to find a job here as an inbetweeny. Esther was wonderful, encouraging and incredibly thoughtful. i will continue to support her just for that. not to mention the food is always imaginative and excellent quality. i didn’t take the job because what i was waiting for came up early. but i think definitely her humanity and kindness deserves a big high five. thank you Esther. xx

Great spot with top notch food and I love the little touch of writing the days selections up on butchers paper behind the counter. For me, the breakfast turkish is a fantastic way to start a Saturday, but be prepared for a little wait for a table. For those looking for a few take home tips the cooking classes Ester puts on are also worth a visit, the one i attended was held out on the sidewalk of an evening with good company and a few drinks was a brilliant way to learn some new cooking skills from great chefs. The only thing that was a little off the mark was the coffee, not sure what beans are in use but it was an OK cup, not bad but not great.
