Had dinner here last night. Awesome fried chicken, and great calamari and pork Bukoki. Really tasty, my girlfriend and I loved this place. The food is really good and reasonable price. We pay 37.8 $ for 2 people last night. Staff are very friendly and serve with enthusiasm. Really recommend to those who are keen for some Koreans.

I ordered a $ 12 Bibimbap. It is nice that they give you a Korean side dish with three different small korean appetizers that comes with it. And the best thing is that you can always ask for more for free! Personally, I can’t really eat food that are too spicy because I can’t take it, but the hot sauce that comes with the Bibimbap is like a sweetish spicy, so it is not that bad. The Bibimbap is like a bowl of rice in a metal bowl, with different vegetables in it and an egg, and you just stir it together and eat it. I ate it after stirring it with the sauce, and it is pretty good. It is also great that they give you a large glass of water to fill in your cups yourself. Conclusion: Pretty nice food, but the quantity for me, as a constantly hangry person, it is not enough. So that is a let down. But the taste is good. Opinions on Price: I need more rice. More food, for such price. But I guess the price includes the side dish so… Well.

One of my new year’s resolutions is to write more reviews of the places I eat at locally. So for the year 2012, the first place I ate at was this restaurant. Had a Groupon deal @ $ 19 for lunch with two entrees, two mains and two drinks. I met up with my friend Laura on a windy and slightly cold Thursday. The restaurant was empty when we got there, but started rapidly filling up including other people like us who redeemed their deals, some students and also what seemed to be like a couple of regulars. The décor was nice and Laura and I sat at the table next to the bay window, so it was nice being able to look out onto City Walk. We split the entrée, for which we ordered JapChae(sweet potato noodles with vegetables — reg price $ 12.50). This was so very very good, that I plan on ordering this dish as a main when I go next. Laura and I slurped our way thru these awesome translucent noodles, with mushrooms and onions in a sesame oil flavouring. If I was asked to choose just one word to describe this dish, I would choose delicate. For our mains, I got my standby Korean fave — Seafood Bimbap(reg price $ 13.50). It was great — they used brown rice and every second bite, I encountered either a piece of shrimp or octopus or mussels which made me really happy that they didn’t skimp with the seafood. I did miss my runny egg on top tho’ — assumed it was standard, but I guess you have to ask for it? Laura got a sizzling platter of Korean Pork BBQ(reg price $ 17.50) with hot sauce and rice. She let me try some and again, just really good food, with fresh clean flavours. For our drinks, we got plum tea(reg price $ 3.00), and this just hit the spot. The tea was refreshing, not overly sweet and complimented the food perfectly. All in all, I def will go here again, and I think Laura will too. Loved the food, liked the service and hopefully they have takeaway lunch deals for under $ 10 in which case when I go next, will update my review.
