Harvey Norman

This is a pretty large Harvey Norman. They have a bedding and specialised computing section, as well as a decent range of indoor and outdoor furniture.
It’s always good to shop around (online even) before heading in, so you can put your bargaining power to the test! If you know how much another competitor has the same product they will very frequently match or beat the price.
Their range of electrical items is excellent. Today I purchased a «Magic Bullet» type instant blender, and asked a sales assistant about the best price. Managed to receive 10% off there and then!
Staff are usually really helpful and friendly. I’ve never had any problems at this store, and would definitely shop here again.

A great place to shop for carpet I spoke with Rick and Hazel and they were both friendly and professional. Showroom is massive and there is always plenty of parking. Only challenge is the access is a little challenging. However once inside the store looks and feels welcoming. Really loved my shopping experience.

So I bought myself a nice little place, & have been spending a bit of time at IKEA & other furniture shops, pretending to be a real grown up. As if the Universe was replying, CatchOfTheDay had a sale for Dyson vacuum cleaners. Oh yeah, I probably need a vacuum cleaner for my new place hey? So after trying to do some online research, I thought it would probably be best to go & check out the actual product, & Harvey Norman was my first stop (though not my last).
The Cannington store is HUGE! To get to electronics & appliances, you have to walk through a section of the massive furniture floor, which is generously laid out. All the appliances were displayed in clear sections, & I pretty much managed to walk straight to the vacuum cleaners. Within two minutes of being left to my own devices, a friendly salesperson came round to help, & help she did. She was very knowledgeable about the products, and didn’t hesitate to plug them in for me to test out. She was still very aware of the other customers in the shop though, & was polite in letting me fiddle about with the machines whilst she went & served the other customers.
I had my mind set on a particular model, but she suggested an alternative combination which was a newer model & ended up being cheaper than the original one that I had my eye on. Definitely recommend Harvey Norman to anyone who needs to do a bit of research & evaluation on home appliances. :)
