Bought a bookcase here. The price was right and the two fellows who run it are characters. The place is an eclectic jumble of interesting bits and pieces from the last 50 or 60 years and I think the shop’s been there nearly that long! Seriously it’s always worth a look if you’re seeking a particular piece, because they get new stuff in all the time and you can ask them to look out for something for you.

There is something calming about the smell of wood and fresh pine that intrudes upon your consciousness. Walking into the Second Hand Shop is a little like walking into a forest. Tables are crammed in, chairs stacked on top of tables and bed frames are piled up against the walls. It sounds chaotic and I suppose it is but the smell of wood really does create a peaceful atmosphere as you weave your way around the store.
The Second Hand Shop has second hand furniture yes, but they are in great condition and the prices are so cheap! Pick up a bedside table, chest of drawers, bookshelf or dining table. They provide unbeatable value. I will definitely go back.
