I am so glad I found Flavours of Asia tucked away at the end of Capalaba Central shopping centre. Before I knew the shop was there, I used to go to Chinatown as a treat, to buy the uncut sheets of rice noodle to make Pad Siew and other yummy Asian recipes involving really wide rice noodles. I discovered I have so much more success using these than rehydrated noodles.
This is also a great shop for buying traditional dim sum, fish sauce, every spice you can imagine and quite a few mysterious items I can’t guess at. There are always a heap of cheap Asian greens out front, which I can never resist.
