The Downtowner on Lygon in Carlton is ok, reasonable rates most of the time and in a good location. On the down side, lots of street noise and basic furnishings (a double twin is not a king bed!) detract from the overall rating. I would stay again if I needed the location on a budget but would switch to another hotel if it came in around the same price.
