Been there twice. Over a year ago my 2 friends and I went and were stunned by the appalling service. Thought we’d try again this week. It is worse! They began packing up over an hour before the closing time advertised on their door, even getting patrons to move seats so they could put the tables away. This seemed to be the priority over serving! Never again! Shame, the food is quite good but no guest wants to feel like they’re in the way and a nuisance!

In Dec 2014 we called into Ramekins again and I had the Smashed Avo & dukkah with poached eggs, mushrooms, hash brown & ham off the bone. It was served in a small paella pan and was delicious. The poached eggs were nice and runny this time and the dukkah was a nice addition to the standard smashed avo. We headed back to Ramekins for a lazy Sat breakfast in Aug 2015 and decided on the Eggs Benny with Ham, and the Sweet Potato and Kale Fritters. The fritters were on the smallish side but I had added an extra poached egg and avocado so it was the perfect sized breakfast.

On our way heading north out of Brisbane, my husband and I were searching for a breakfast place — preferably something other than Macca’s which admittedly is better than the McDonald’s in America, although still not our first choice. We saw the Ramekins sign from the street and quickly looked it up to find several very favourable reviews. Sold! We ordered at the counter inside(very cute décor) and took our table number outside to sit in the sunshine while we waited. I had: Eggs Benedict with bacon. Served on a thick piece of toasted Turkish bread and drizzled with tangy hollandaise. It was delicious. He had: breakfast burger. I didn’t get a chance to try it before it was demolished but the review was definitely positive. After we devoured our savoury breakfasts, sweets were on the brain so we ordered a butterscotch muffin. You have a choice of butter or cream — we chose cream. Our muffin arrived piping hot with a miniature mug of heavy whipped cream on the side. It was absolutely sinful. Ramekins Café is definitely a must-try if in the area!

Ramekins is the definition of the triple threat in café’s — food, price, and service! Every time I come here the food is outstanding. It is fresh, plentiful, and always leaves me satisfied. The menu is likewise large, there is always something else to try, I don’t feel constricted to get the same thing every visit like a lot of places with that ‘One hit wonder’. It’s got something everyone is looking for from the health freaks, calorie conscious eaters, to the protein lovers who enjoy a heaping meat and eggs for breakfast. or lunch! The price is more than reasonable for the amount and quality that is placed in front of you, and not only is it a pleasure to consume the food, the atmosphere created by the upbeat, friendly staff(even at 7am) makes a trip to Ramekins even better. This locally eatery cannot be passed up and I recommend every local try it, if you haven’t already.

Was very good! Loved the food, it came out nice and quick and tasted amazing. How they had the place was really cute and clean! Would defiantly recommend this place! Especially for a breakfast! They had so many different things to choose from, I defiantly have to go again!

I wanted to rate ramekins with 5 stars but held back only because it is so cold this morning and there’s no heating. I have been here a few times now, mostly for breakfast in the early morning and almost feel like a valued friend rather than a customer when I walk through the doors. The staff work well together and I’m guessing its a family business. They are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The breakfast menu carries the usuals — big breakfast, eggs benny etc but also has something a little different. I wont spoil the surprise. For me. the poached eggs have never been less than perfect! Cakes from the cabinet are always served with ice cream AND cream. woohoo! Coffee is awesome! During winter. All breakfast meals are half price! If you rug up there’s no reason not to start the day in this little pearl of a place!

I popped into this little gem after growing increasingly impatient waiting to get a table at Sushi Train. In the same complex, but around the corner just out of view I found Ramekins. So glad I found it, good service, fresh, vibrant menu and pleasant atmosphere. I was all geared up for sushi, so naturally I wanted to order something from the menu that would satisfy my craving. The feta and pesto salad topped with tiger prawns certainly did that. Crisp salad greens, a zesty pesto packed with flavour and big, juicy tiger prawns — delicious. The prices were pretty standard, not too expensive just affordable — a ‘you get what you pay for’ kind of deal. Good coffee too. I had my usual soy caramel latte which was nice and hot and very sweet — perfect.
