Pasta was delicious! Had a wonderful lunch that was let down by the service and the deserts. We ordered Coffees to start and our meal came before the coffee did! Normally, that would mean free coffee but not here. We literally waited 20 mins for a pair of iced long blacks. My wife had a YoYo cookie and was pleased while I had a vanilla slice. Possibly the worst vanilla slice I’ve ever eaten. It was enormous which is normally a great thing but this particular one was all custard! Only a powdered sugar top instead of icing and it obviously wasn’t fresh! Tasted old and like it had been in the fridge for a week! Quite unfortunate because as I said, the pasta was lovely! The Gnocchi Ragu was amazing and the Seafood pasta of the day was delicious too. The coffee wasn’t anything special but passed for coffee. If the desert had’ve been up to par I would give this place a 4/4.5 based strictly on the pasta. So enjoy this place but leave the deserts on the shelf!

Our family use to frequent this Café every weekend and then we would go window shopping at Chadstone. I think this place has gone downhill since then though. When we first found this café, the food was excellent, the coffee was amazing and the service was perfect. Now, everytime we go back, it seems the standards have gone lower and the prices have gone higher. The food has started to take on that bland taste that definitely isn’t worth the price that has been put to it. I normally have the EBLT on Turkish Pide, but now it seems as though it’s something very bland that I could honestly cook better at home with a few extra seasonings added to it. The scrambled eggs on sourdough have gotten a bit more watery as well. I’m not sure if they’ve just gotten a new chef or the ingredients have changed to make what is being made cheaper to produce but it’s not very impressive. The one thing that I definitely think is worth the money, although I did notice that the recipe has changed, is their muffins. The Blueberry Yogurt Muffin is delicious. Their lunch menu is quite good as well. The service is hit and miss. Some days they have too much staff on and you are waited on quite quickly and sometimes even asked twice for your order(which you think they would have someone just ordering for certain sections but it doesn’t seem so). Then again, some days, you tend to wait for a while and it does end up that you get a bit antsy because you can see the staff chatting away but not doing much to assist. It’s really a shame as well because the head people there seem quite nice and they do tend to greet, recognise you, and remember your orders.
