WARNING: this review will probably make me sound a bit…fetishy. I’m not, though. Not really. Okay, a little bit, but. .. let’s just get going, shall we? I’m not gonna tell you why you should go to this place. Instead I’m gonna tell you why I go there(which is exclusively to get pant legs taken up. I’m anal retentive about my clothes, and these guys are the best I’ve found on the North Shore): 1) The 3 super-friendly staff treat me like a naughty schoolchild. «Your jean too skinny! How I take that up?» «You want take hem there? No. Too high. We do here.» They know what I want better than I do, and they’re always right! They’re fast, too. Plus I actually got a smack on the bum once. An actual smack! I’m always a bit cheeky when I drop pants off in the hope that they’ll give me another. 2) There’s a dude works there who has a scorpion tattooed on his neck. Guy should be a bikie or in a death metal band and instead he’s working the peddles of a Sewmaster 5000. Sometimes I stand behind him just to watch him work. I want to find out what his story is but I’m too afraid to ask. 3) Their website rulz. This is what their homepage says, and it’s verbatim: «Broken zipper? Button falling off? Stain on your favourite shirt? Let out a dress? Then try our free How To Articles and fix it yourself and avoid paying someone else.» They actually encourage you to fix stuff yourself so you don’t have to spend money on them! That’s recession-conscious AND pro-human. It also goes on to say: «School history project? Fancy dress party? Or are you just a history nut? Browse our pages on Ancient Clothing History.» which is a little weird but hey, the dudes love clothes, right? And that makes me feel comfortable about them handling MY clothes.
