The piccolo, was a bit disappointing„ had a sharpness which I didn’t like, now I know why they asked if I wanted a sugar in my coffee

Service was personal and speedy. These folks know A LOT about their product and give great recommendations. The store has a hip/casual vibe, and great merch if you’re looking to brew at home too. oh…and… BESTPOUROVERCOFFEE I’VEHADINSYDNEY

This place is a classic hole in the wall except that it has space for three people to sit down. Keeno and I took two of them and enjoyed a sensational cappuccino. I checked it out in a coffee book I got for Chrissy(from myself) and saw it uses Single O beans which is a great start. Except that I think its wrong. I saw they use Toby’s for one of their coffees? When you are as cool as me you can say Single O which means Single Origin Roasters. Maybe someone… possibly me… got confused between single origin beans and Single Origin Roasters. Still, whatever they use they use it well, and I got another coffee on the way back an hour later. Saw on Unilocal that all except one reviews are five stars. So is mine. Only thing about that new coffee book is that it doesn’t include Paramount Coffee Project which reduces its credibility considerably in my humble view.

The best little corner coffee shop in all of Chatswood! My favourite thing about this place is their speed, so aptly named is this café because the staff work just like a Steam Engine! You’ll never be late for work or your train waiting for your coffee here!! b

When we go to cafes we look for two things — if the coffee’s good and what’s the service like. Picture this — there are at least six customers waiting for the coffee at once and the barista greeted at least 3 customers by their name. That tells me that this place must serve real good coffee and that the service is on point! I’m happy to say that’s exactly what I got. My flat white was hot, creamy and the coffee had a great taste and aroma. It was not as velvety as I’ve had but still a fantastic coffee. The service was just what I needed in the morning, bright bubbly faces with a wide smile. I love that the baristas take the time to know their customers too, it just makes you want to return every morning. So definitely try this place out if you need a good cup of coffee and smile, they serve both :)

Really nice latte and probably the best hot chocolate in chatswood. The staff is friendly and fun to interact with, which makes the coffee stopover that much more pleasant. It does get a bit busy so do expect to wait a few mins, for your coffee fix :-)

The little engine that could! And this place is little. Constructed on the far left hand corner at the bottom of the escalators at Chatswood Interchange, it’s difficult to miss as you can see the steam rising from Barista magic at work. It’s busy, in a worker bee sense. People come and go clutching coffee, whilst 3 artisans work their craft. I rolled in here with my two elderly companions on Wednesday post lunch, and we were drawn to the little padded seats at the back, which also opens through to the other side. Ordering, then taking a seat, our talking point became the shelves in front of us with coffee and train paraphernalia. I grabbed the HONY book on display and attempted to explain the concept to the ex-journalist at my right. The book(from 2010) unfortunately contains only the images and captions, not the stories that we have all seen on Facebook, but I think she got what I meant. Soon after, the coffees arrived. Soy Latte. Flat White. Cappuccino. Our cappuccino drinker said the flavour was lovely but she wanted it «hotter». The flat white drinker remarked in earnest tones that it was wonderful. I just drank mine and smiled. Yes it was damn good. One of the best Soy Latte’s I’ve had. No bitterness. A smooth, flavourful brew with some complexity to delight my tastebuds. Isn’t «winning your loyalty» an interesting concept. When I stroll through Chatswood next I would find myself hard pressed to try another coffee place, and there are many… If I did try another coffee place, I’d feel like I was cheating on TSE. That’s what winning your loyalty is all about.

Great coffee joint. They serve Bonsoy which is so much better than the other brands of soymilk. They’re quick, friendly and their scroll+coffee combo is perfect for a Monday Morning.

Had coffee there on Saturday. Finally ever since it open I wanted to try their coffee and it wasn’t used to open on weekend. The coffee was good and wish it was hotter. Priced reasonably and vibe is quite hippie like those you would find at surry hills I think so at least :) Well done :)

I’ve got one word for you, Unilocalers: Costa Rican cold pour. It’s sinfully delicious. Sit down and feel the vibration running through your body as you enjoy it*. Partake in a delightful powdery cinnamon bun(they sell them in halves, too). You won’t regret it. *Note: the vibration may be attributed to trains rumbling overhead, but the coffee is still kick arse good.

I walked the kids and dog to Chatswood station so I could check out the new shops and restaurants on the Concourse. Not bad btw! I grabbed a coffee at Steam Engine, not expecting much as the coffee around here is usually average with a capital A. Man, was I surprised. $ 4 for a flat white, just the right temperature, it was fast, delicious and served with a smile. I had a chat to a friendly couple and left happy. Will definitely return.

What a cool little corner coffee spot. I had a great experience — friendly staff, prompt service, yummy coffee & reasonable pricing. $ 8 for a Double Espresso & Large Flat White. It’s a very small space but it’s been well utilised however it’s probably best for takeaway rather than«have here»

A fantastic little coffee experience. This is just what Chatswood needed and I’m so glad I found it. The coffee taste amazing and the standard price of $ 3.50 for a small skim latte. Can’t get back quick enough.

One of the new coffee shops to open right next to Chatswood station. Staff are friendly, coffee was great and quick. Pretty average pricing; Small skim cap = $ 3.50 Funny story, the guy in line in front of me not only ordered the exact coffee I wanted… But when they asked for his name… It was Ben too. This caused me to laugh and have a bit of a joke with the staff. Short queue: 8⁄10 Friendliness of staff: 9⁄10 Speed of coffee making: 9⁄10 Value: 8⁄10 Coffee: 8⁄10 Overall: 8.5÷10
