Quite nice surroundings. But on a winter night, it was freezing. When the waitress serves you wearing an overcoat, you know something’s wrong. There were two portable radiators pointing directly at the only two other couples in the restaurant. The rest of the large dining area was empty, and all the potential patrons were clearly at the pub 200 metres up the road, judging by the car park. Having said that, the staff were friendly (but couldn’t add up my bill correctly) and the food was nicely cooked (although I have serious doubts whether the fish I had was really garfish).

After years of coming to this venue, seeing it at its best then watched it as it nearly close several times, I have a feeling it’s on its way back. I hope so. Great band tonight makes a lot of difference, Hi Rollers played exceptionally well tonight, thanks
