We’re currently sitting here, waiting for our breaky to arrive… for the past 45 minutes. Not only is the breakfast menu limited and uninspired, the service is abysmal. Coffees took 20 minutes, and seriously, how long does it to fry an egg? The excuse is there was a big table before us, making for sloppy kitchen management… Manager didn’t seem to care much, not really apologetic, when we said we could go somewhere else, all we got was«ok, well what do you want to do?»

This place really fell short of my expectations… The food was mildly warm: a Hogworks Burger. The non-seasoned fries had obviously been under a heat lamp! The food was only a little better than fast food. It was an Argentinian burger(with egg) but it’s some Texas feel meets Appleby’s. The Hoogs Breath was Clint Eastwoods cool Irish bar in Carmel, CA., USA. This was some kind of Australian bastardized American phenomenon. The owner needs a slap: wake up call. Either this town is on Xanax and beer or just straight up asleep. Granted, this country can’t deliver much for under 20 $, but this was a total waste! Good luck hospitality venture capitalists! Lol btw… The wait staff was so nice and adorable. So, this is totally corporate BS! Go big or go the f$ck home, bitches!

The Hogs Breath on Raby Bay Harbour has such great ambience in its surrounds that despite all the trouble the designers have gone to to make us feel like we’re in an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard, we always sit ouside near the water. Maybe this why the Boss Hog has his headquarters here, who knows? It’s really worth a look even if you’ve been to a Hog’s Breath before. I think the business has got a fun thing going for it, and it reminds of the Bubba Gump shrimp restaurants in the US and so I have a little soft spot for it, I admit. The food is good, the toppings are tasty and the steaks are always tender, cooked as they are over 18 hours using an amazing slow roasting technique. My friends have a definite thing for the curly fries and aioli and we do tend to get there at least a couple of times a year so we’re still having fun there.
