History

Established in 1978.

Warehouse Sound Systems Pty Ltd was originally known as Warehouse Sound Hire Company, an enterprise formed in Collingwood in 1978 by three Melbourne musicians with a collective interest in audio equipment for live performance.

Appointing Sven Langebeck to manage the start-​up company, it established a niche supplying local bands with portable, powerful sound systems that would withstand the rigours of Australian touring.
