Look, the location is cool, and the Café is nicely set out, BUT they need to learn to listen and repeat orders as they are taking them and then enter the order correctly into their machine. We have been here several times over the last few months, and EVERY time have had at least one of our coffees served differently to what we ordered. Checking other negative reviews(not only on this site) I can see others have also experienced this, so it is not just me. The coffee CAN be great here, but to ensure you get this you just need to make sure you are clear when ordering.

What a cheeky find! Prettying up suburbia with a beautiful shop front and great, simple meals. All day breakfast on offer made it easy to love this place. Splitting a breakfast burrito with some sides we found the food a little expensive but totally worth it for an order that was made with love. Seating out the front is lovely and plentiful whilst if you wander out the back there’s a fantastic courtyard. Pretty busy and for great reasons! There’s great salads and baked goods on offer inside and I can see myself coming back. Fab!

You know that grumpy, dishevelled state you had? I think it was on a Sunday morning, you were complaining of the lack of good coffee shops, and those that were good were packed… An aspirin to your pains, here is yet another friendly neighbourhood café. Menu is standard(nothing jumps out), coffee is good, ambience is annoyingly hipster. Big venue, lots of parking, and friendly staff, if harried. They put an effort and seems worth being added to the list of regular destinations.

Cute décor and lots of parking spaces. Friendly atmosphere, and a variety of «trendy» foods. Coffee is divine.

Disappointingly only OK. The coffee was OK. The lunch was OK. The staff were friendly but we had to sit outside as inside the smell of frying was overpowering. Unfortunately the smell was so affronting that we took the menus outside and missed an array of interesting salads in the display cabinet which might have indeed swayed our opinion. It is with regret that I can only say«OK» because I really like to give rave reviews. I am sure if the owners address the ventilation system in the kitchen, that the place would take on a whole new personality, because, after all, who wants to hang around in a place where your clothes are going to smell like a chip shop when you leave? Sorry, but honest!

Went to Bond & Lane with our monthly coffee group plus my grandson Aiden(almost four). Really casual rambling house in CLG, staff friendly(but rushed) and really nice morning coffee options. Aiden particularly liked the Orange syrup cake with his baby chino, all the ladies seemed to like their choices, coffee very good. Thumbs up B & L. Aiden also liked the kid friendly back yard!

We stumbled across this delightful little place this morning on our way home through the back streets of Colonel Light Gardens/Westbourne Park area and decided to give it a go. It looked very busy for Monday mid-morning so we thought thats a good sign. The décor was lovely — clean, modern with a slight rustic/retro feel — I loved the artwork on the walls and funky cushions. Food was tasty and great value for money. Staff were attentive and service overall was very prompt. There is an outside area out the back and a small room with some toys and children books, there are lounges scattered around the place, a bigger room with tables and chairs, and also small tables and stools out the front in the fresh air. What a great café to come across by surprise! Will definitely go back as we live just a few streets down.

My friend and I have been stumbling across some great breakfast, brunch and coffee places, we go for our Saturday morning walk, then going somewhere different for breakfast and or coffee. We were on our way to find Three Card Trick. much to our disappointment it was closed but we noticed that Bond & Lane was open and figured«Well, we’re here, why not!» The service was great… and so was the food!(See pictures) A nice little brunch spot! Will have to try out their lunches sometime soon!

Greeted by whom we learned was the owner, we were offered a seat in the spring sun at the back of the café. We walked through a few rooms of contented diners as they sipped coffee or enjoyed the breakfasts in front of them. It’s a simple thing, but being brought a bottle of water with glasses shows that you care about the dining experience and you’re not just looking for table turnover. As we perused the menu — we liked how you could select eggs, but then build the breakfast around that. Bacon? Avocado? Mushroom? Spinach? You combine the options so suit your tastes and desires when it comes to breakfast. Again, simple — but very well executed. The coffee was good. Very good. Without trying too try-hard, the milk/coffee matched beautifully and was well made — just the right temperature. Is Bond & Lane Canteen something super different? No — nor do they try to be. They do the simple things very well which makes for a great experience. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Really loved this place — Great use of spce — not jammed in which makes for a great breakfast lunch vibe. The food was tasty — Bond and Lane are on my return list. :)
